    摘要: The present invention is a crawler device for a crawler type vehicle, which lowers the vehicle height, decreases the vehicle width, and exhibits superior stability during operation. For this purpose, in a crawler type vehicle having, on right and left sides of either one of front or rear portion, or both of the front and rear portions of a vehicle body (3), crawler devices each having a sprocket (12), an idler (16A) disposed on a truck frame (15), and a crawler belt (11) passed around the sprocket (12) and the idler (16A), the crawler device includes a front end link (181) coupled to a forward part of said truck frame (15) by means of a pin (181D) at a lower end portion thereof and to the side of said vehicle body (3) by means of a pin (181U) at the upper end portion thereof, and a rear end link (182) coupled to a rearward part of said truck frame (15) by means of a pin (182D) at the lower end portion thereof and to said side of said vehicle body (3) at a position behind said front end link (181) by means of a pin (182U) at the upper end portion thereof.

The track roller unit adjacent the sprocket is preferably pivoted about a pivot center of the first arm positioned at the bottom of the track frame and toward the idler relative to a pivot center of the second arm. The track roller travel improves a flexibility of the track roller to the crawler, and work in a high tractive force is carried out with the track rollers providing unchangeable real contact areas to the ground.

    摘要: An undercarriage assembly of a work machine includes a first drive track chain and a second drive track chain. The undercarriage assembly also includes a first hydraulic actuator mechanically coupled to the first drive track chain so as to adjust tension on the first drive track chain and a second hydraulic actuator mechanically coupled to the second drive track chain so as to adjust tension on the second drive track chain. The undercarriage assembly further includes a slack adjuster assembly. The slack adjuster assembly has (i) an adjuster housing defining (a) a main chamber, (b) a fluid inlet, (c) a first fluid outlet which is fluidly coupled to the first hydraulic actuator, and (d) a second fluid outlet which is fluidly coupled to the second hydraulic actuator, (ii) a first piston positioned in the main chamber, the first piston selectively couples the fluid inlet to the first fluid outlet, and (iii) a second piston positioned in the main chamber, the second piston selectively couples the fluid inlet to the second fluid outlet. Movement of the first piston from a first decreased-tension position to a first increased-tension position causes actuation of the first actuator so as to increase tension on the first drive track chain. Movement of the second piston from a second decreased-tension position to a second increased-tension position causes actuation of the second actuator so as to increase tension on the second drive track chain.

    摘要: Endless rubber track laying machines are provided with a pair of track laying assemblies positioned on opposite sides of the work machine. Each track laying assembly includes an endless rubber belt entrained around a drive wheel, an idler wheel, and a plurality of supporting mid-rollers. A fluid cylinder is connected to the idler wheel for tensioning the endless rubber belts. The present recoil activated valve includes a two position poppet valve positioned between the fluid cylinder and an accumulator. With this recoil activated valve the tensioning system locks the fluid cylinder as the work machine traverses side slopes. Thus, a simple system is provided that can be solely fluid actuated or actuated by an electronic monitoring system, thereby providing a system that reduces the possibility of the endless rubber track from un-tracking.

    摘要: A tensioning device for maintaining proper belt tension on the drive belt of a tracked vehicle. The flexible drive belt extends between a drive wheel and a carriage mounted free wheel. An idler device dynamically adjusts the tension on the drive belt, and includes a drive wheel mounted to a frame, a carriage slidably mounted to the frame and supporting a free wheel, a hydraulic cylinder mounted to the frame and engaging the carriage for applying a force to the carriage. A hydraulic control circuit operates the hydraulic cylinder, the control circuit being adapted to adjust the pressure in the hydraulic cylinder to apply a first force against the carriage in response to a first detected condition, such as during normal forward operation of the vehicle. The control circuit is further adapted to apply a second force against the carriage in response to a second detected condition, such as during reverse operation of the vehicle. A sensor is provided for detecting the operating condition of the vehicle and is connected to the hydraulic circuit.
