摘要： A track for in-line tires on a skid steer vehicle, the track includes a continuous loop of links with sidebars and a pin and a barrel, the pin and barrel together forming a hinge between the links and extending between the sidebars. Tire side guides extend upward from the side bars to guide the tires along a pathway over the upward side of the hinges. The opposite side of the hinges engage the ground. The tire side guides can be permanently attached or temporarily fastened to the sidebars at selected positions and moved to other selected positions to convert the track for use with different sized tires, thereby proving a convertible track and a method of converting a track. A system for forming and closing the track as a loop of links is also disclosed.

摘要： A crawler undercarriage mechanism includes a plurality of running rollers, and at least one drive sprocket wheel which is provided with chain teeth, and has a running tread and wheel flanges on both sides. An endless chain with individual chain links which are connected releasably to one another by bolts and a plurality of interengaging outer and inner link plates is driven by the sprocket wheel. Each chain link has two guide webs which have a bearing surface, which interacts with the running treads, and a guide surface, which interacts with respective ones of the wheel flanges. The web guides have a cam-like element which connects the two webs and meshes with the chain teeth of the drive sprocket wheel. The drive sprocket wheel has an involute toothing arrangement which meshes with a rectilinear flank of the cam-like element, and top side of the respective guide web has a concavely curved bearing surface, which interacts with the convexly curved running-tread surface of the drive sprocket wheel. The webs also have an inner guide surface interacting with the wheel flanges and an outer guide surface providing for lateral guidance of the running rollers.

摘要： A chain master link has first and second link parts having outer ends centered on respective substantially parallel first and second axes and coupled-together inner ends. Each inner end is formed with at least one tooth extending transversely across a plane including the two axes and having an inner face turned toward the respective axis and forming with the plane an angle of at least 90° open away from the respective axis. The teeth are engaged together with the inner faces bearing on each other so that tension pulling the parts apart along the plane pulls the teeth into engagement with each other. Each part is formed with a pocket receiving the tooth of the other part and having an outer face forming with the plane an angle open away from the respective axis and greater than the respective inner-face angle. Thus the two parts can be fitted together simply by pivoting their inner ends toward each other about the respective outer-end axes.
