    摘要: A flexible ski support system for increasing the overall flexibility of a snowmobile ski through the elimination of a metal saddle. The flexible ski support system consists of a ski having an elongate body and a support portion having a first member and a second member, a first aperture extending within the first member, a second aperture extending within the second member, a first bushing member positioned within the first aperture, and a second bushing member positioned within the second aperture. The elongate body and the support portion are both molded into a one-piece structure from a relatively highly flexible material such as plastic. The bushing members each have a concentric bore for receiving a connecting pin for allowing attachment to a suspension arm of a snowmobile. The bushing members distribute the vertical and horizontal forces over a relatively broad area within the support portion thereby preventing damage or breakage to the support portion.

    摘要: A coil spring is mounted in the hub of a wheel of a vehicle. One end of the coil spring is connected to a ratchet and the ratchet is engaged by a pawl which is connected to the hub. A brake is also mounted in the hub. The drum of the brake is connected to the other end of the coil spring and the brake pad is connected to the axle of the wheel. When the brake is activated, the spring deforms and applies a braking force on the wheel. When the brake is de-activated, the wheel is driven forward by the spring as it unwinds.

The snow ski comprised an elongate body having a rear portion, a middle portion and a front portion wherein the front portion has a traverse curved structure. The front traverse curvature directs snow inwardly toward the keel member thereby improving the handling of the ski. The snow ski may be manufactured with the traverse curvature permanently molded within the front portion. However, the snow ski may also be manufactured in an initially straight structure thereafter applying a force upon a front portion of the elongate ski body which longitudinally bows the front portion into position P2 and traversely bows the front portion creating the desired traverse curvature within the front portion of the ski member.

    摘要: A ski-snowboard device has a support board for the user and a plurality of ski pairs mounted to the underside of the board. The ski-snowboard has a steering and suspension system, connecting the skis in each pair, to provide paired steering and independent suspension. Each steering and suspension system preferably comprises two pivoting generally-V-shaped arms connecting the board to the skis, wherein the V-shaped arms are spaced apart at their top end connections to the board, and each connect to different portions of rocker members that hold the skis. The V-shaped arms pivot relative to the board, and the rocker members pivot relative to the arms and also relative to the skis. Shock-absorbing/biasing systems cushion vibrations and tune the suspension and steering. Thus, the skis move right and left, move to their inside edges, and swing forward and rearward, to properly steer the ski-snowboard right and left and up and down terrain, for enhanced handling and control by the user.

    摘要: An inflatable tube ski vehicle with steering mechanism comprises an inflated, torus-shaped tube or bladder and a ski insert disposed in the central opening of the bladder. The ski insert may be dish-shaped, or it may partially wrap around the top and/or bottom of the bladder. In either case, the ski vehicle has a steering/braking mechanism comprising left and right lever arms pivotally attached to and extending down through the ski insert. To turn, a rider simply pulls on one of the lever arms, causing a lower portion of the lever arm to extend past a bottom of the insert. To brake, both arms are pulled simultaneously. Because the ski vehicle is round and because the weight of the vehicle and rider are largely uniformly distributed over the center of the vehicle, a pivot or fulcrum point occurs directly under the rider's seat, affording a significant degree of control.
