A freestanding conveyor personnel gate includes a support or base portion and a conveyor portion, which is pivotable and movable relative to the support between a closed position and an open position. The gate includes a latch mechanism which is operable to latch the gate in both the open and close positions. The latch mechanism is operable via a handle which is movable in either direction to disengage the latch mechanism and to raise or lower the conveyor portion toward its open or closed position. The conveyor portion is balanced and supported via a strut member which is pivotally mounted at the conveyor portion and the support portion. A biasing member is provided to bias the conveyor portion toward its closed position when the conveyor portion is moved past a neutral point between the open and close position. The biasing member is further operable to bias the conveyor portion toward its opened position when the conveyor portion is moved past the neutral position toward the open position of the gate. The biasing member thus self propels the gate toward its opened or closed position, while the latch mechanism locks the gate in the respective position once that position is reached by the conveyor portion.

A self propelled vehicle for transport and placement of an onboard supply of fill material in an onboard hopper. The hopper is connected to said vehicle at a point operatively positioned to discharge fill material placed therein on a conveyor belt mounted to a support structure. The fill material is deposited on the conveyor at a receiving and discharged at the distal end of the conveyor either directly or via a flow director attached to the distal end attached thereto. The flow director bifurcates the stream of fill material allowing the operator to place more or less of the fill in two streams using a plurality of independently adjustable channeling ramps. The hopper is optionally adjustable from an angle normal to the vehicle to allow for adjustment in the vehicle center of gravity on grades. The flow director can also be configured for attachment to existing conveyors to increase their utility or used as part of the entire self propelled device in a single unit. Optionally, the distal end of the conveyor may be elevated or lowered for proper positioning.

A pallet and conveyor system for loading pallets onto a transport vehicle is described. The conveyor system has a first and a second conveyor which positions the pallets between the conveyors and maintains the pallets in upright orientation. The conveyor defines an upper conveyance track and a lower conveyance track which may be placed on the bed of a transport truck. The pallets maintained in the conveyor system are easily loadable on the truck and can be captured without operator lifting by the conveyor system. The pallets may be forked from any direction and provide a stabilization device for maintaining the cargo within the pallets.

Mobile conveyor modules are used for transporting aggregate over a long distance, or for transferring the aggregate to other modules, and for stacking the aggregate either linearly or radially. These modules may be used in various combinations by themselves or in combination with existing conveyor systems and bridge stackers to stack aggregate on and off multi-lift leach pads and on multi-lift dump sites. The mobile conveyor modules are designed to be steerable and self-propelled, providing increased maneuverability and reducing relocation/reformation time. Multiple stacking methods may be used with the mobile conveyor modules either separately, or at the same time, advance and retreat stacking, the stacking of a berm, or the filling in of a corridor, may be accomplished on a variety of terrain.

A self-propelled aircraft cargo belt loader is both propelled and operated hydrostatically. An engine, an electric motor, or a hybrid combination of both provides a power source to operate first and second hydraulic pumps. The first, or primary pump, provides variable fluid pressure used to propel the vehicle., while the second, or secondary pump, provides constant fluid pressure used to drive the conveyor belt, operate the hydraulic cylinders used to raise and lower the conveyor belt, and operate the vehicle's steering. The use of a hydrostatic drive system facilitates off-center placement of both the powerplant and the conveyor belt system, with the powerplant and conveyor belt system being positioned on opposite sides of the vehicle. As the powerplant is not covered by the conveyor belt system, engine access for maintenance and replacement is greatly enhanced. In addition, the use of a hydrostatic drive permits the use of much smaller powerplants than would otherwise be required if a conventional automotive drivetrain with an automatic transmission were employed. The use of a smaller powerplant allows the transporting vehicle to be smaller and lighter. Fuel efficiency is also improved by using a small displacement engine.
