Abstract: A sensor interface module for an inspection robot includes a scissor lift for varied radial positioning of, and a universal sensor mount for mounting, a selected one of a plurality of different sensors. A visual inspection module for the robot includes an inspection unit for simultaneously visually inspecting a first surface facing a first direction and a spaced, second surface facing an opposing, second direction toward the first surface. The inspection unit includes a first visual sensor and a second visual sensor, each visual sensor facing in a direction different than the first and second directions. A first reflector reflects an image of the first surface to the first visual sensor, and a second reflector reflects an image of the second surface to the second visual sensor. A robot system may include the sensor interface module and the inspection unit.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a scissors lift comprising a bottom frame, a top frame and a scissors mechanism arranged between said bottom frame and said top frame to displace said bottom frame and said top frame relative to each other by transfer of an actuation force. The scissors mechanism comprises a central hollow scissors arm delimited between opposite scissors arm surfaces, wherein said central hollow scissors arm has a bottom pivotal connection connecting it to said bottom frame and a top pivotal connection connecting it to said top frame. Further, the mechanism comprises two passive scissors arms being pivotally connected to said bottom frame and pivotally connected to said top frame. Each of said two passive scissors arms are pivotally connected to said central hollow scissors arm on said opposite scissors arm surfaces of said central hollow scissors arm. Further, the scissors lift comprises a motor providing said actuation force, said motor located between said opposite scissors arm surfaces of said central hollow scissors arm. Thereby, the motor may be protected and at least partially enclosed by the scissors lift and even by the central hollow scissors arm, allowing a safer and/or more easily maintained scissors lift.

Abstract: A lift raises and lowers a boat to load and unload the boat onto a roof of or a roof rack on a vehicle. The lift has an upper frame having a longitudinal axis, a lower frame having a longitudinal axis, and a linkage connecting the upper frame to the lower frame. In a first position the linkage is extended and the lift is raised and in a second position the linkage is retracted and the lift is lowered. At least one lift rack extends from or is part of the upper frame. The lift rack is adapted to support a boat at least vertically such that in the extended linkage first position a boat may be slid in a longitudinal direction between the lift rack and the roof or the roof rack of the vehicle. A method for using the lift is also disclosed.

Abstract: A shoe tying support assembly includes a frame that is positionable on a floor. A scissor lift is movably coupled to the frame and the scissor lift is actuatable between a lifted position and a lowered position. A platform is positioned on the scissor lift and the platform is spaced upwardly from the frame when the scissor lift is actuated into the lifted position. Thus, a user can position their foot on the platform for assisting with tying shoes. A tilting unit is coupled between the scissor lift and the platform and the tilting unit tilts the platform at a selectable angle of deflection from a horizontal plane to enhance comfort for the user to position the user's foot on the platform. A remote control is provided to remotely control the scissor lift and the tilting unit.

Abstract: Cradle assemblies for supporting a door for uninstalling and/or installing the door to a fuselage of an aircraft, and arrangements and methods for the same are provided. In one example, a cradle assembly includes a first contoured board and a second contoured board that is spaced apart from the first contoured board. The first and second contoured boards are cooperatively configured to support outer sections of a first door. A third contoured board is configured to be selectively positioned adjacent to and extending higher than the first contoured board to support a first outer section of a second door that has a different outer shape than the first door. The third contoured board is contoured to substantially match the first outer section of the second door. The cradle assembly is configured to be positioned proximate to the fuselage.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, there is taught herein a family of “branched” variants of the traditional scissor mechanism, in which each stage is formed from more than two arms, joined at their midpoints by a branched rivet. In one embodiment arms in adjacent stages are joined at their endpoints with joints that allow for rotation in a single plane. Each resulting mechanism has one degree of freedom in its motion. It deploys from a compact, collapsed state to an extended state. One embodiment is a grasping member that is mechanically coupled to a scissor mechanism so that when scissor mechanism is collapsed the grasping member is open. Then, when the scissor mechanism is extended the grasping member becomes closed.

Abstract: A system for supporting a vehicle. The system may include a vehicle jack in mechanical communication with a jack foot and a striker plate. The jack foot is rotatable relative to the vehicle jack on a rotation axis disposed on the vehicle jack and perpendicular to a long axis of the vehicle jack. The jack foot includes a base at a distal end of the jack foot. The jack foot also includes a cam surface at least in part at a proximal end of the jack foot. The cam surface is aligned with the striker plate and interacts with the striker plate to rotate the jack foot in response to movement of the vehicle jack from a lowered position to a raised position.
