    摘要： A pressure equalising device (10) which has a squat shape and which has three positions which are a first unlocked and retracted position, a second locked and retracted position, and a third unlocked and extended position wherein the device comprises a spike (14) for piercing a container, a biasing member (12) to bias the device into the first position from the third position, an upper body (20) which supports the spike and which has a locking formation (28), and a lower body (40); wherein the device has a twist lock such that the device can be rotated to and from its first and second positions; wherein the twist lock comprises a slot (52) in the lower body which is positioned to receive the locking formation (28) to immobilise the upper body (20) in relation to the lower body (40); the invention provides an ergonomically acceptable and safe way to reduce the torque force required to open the typical jar to less that 2 Nm by equalising the pressures inside and outside the jar.

    摘要： A device for opening, or re-closing, and holding lids of containers, each provided with an oblong spout, comprises a removal head of the pneumatic type which has a through housing channel which develops along an axis and in which the spout is at least partly housed, and a holding member, associated to the removal head, to cooperate with the spout. The holding member is actuated pneumatically to define at least a reversible condition of holding the spout inside the housing channel and comprises elastically deformable means which laterally delimit the housing channel. The elastically deformable means are configured to be deformed elastically by means of a fluid under pressure, so as to selectively define a reduction in section of the housing channel suitable to hold the spout.

    摘要： An apparatus for vacuum-sealing a lid onto a jar includes a cap skirt joined to a cap. The cap and cap skirt are formed with internal threads for engaging corresponding external threads on the jar. A lid for the jar placed against the lid press will be drawn against the rim of the jar after air is pumped out of the jar through the cap. An airtight seal is established between the lid and the rim of the jar when air at normal atmospheric pressure enters the vacuum port, the pressure difference between the outside and inside of the jar forcing the lid onto the jar rim and sealing the jar. A prying plate positioned on the top of the cap permits removal of the lid without deforming the lid beyond its elastic limit, enabling lids to be removed and re-sealed against the jar.

    摘要： The “invention” is a unique device that has but one relevant purpose and that is to engage both regular and large mouthed mason jars that have been vacuum sealed with a “dome lid” (without a ring), thus attached by a user screwing the invention's two tiered body onto the selected mason jar. The top tier of the invention receives a regular mouthed mason jar while the lower tier receives a large mouthed mason jar. Once screwed onto the existing jar the user depresses the appropriate level leaf spring, thus inserting the associated lifting pin underneath the lip of the present dome lid and then, while holding the mechanism inward, the user unscrews the invention's body causing a counterclockwise and upward force on the dome lid via the lifting pin separating the dome lid from the mason jar, opening it.

    摘要： A combination receptacle opener including a plate member having at least one aperture with serrations for gripping for twisting off a twist-cap inserted into the aperture. Further embodiments include tang members extending from one face of the plate member around an aperture, which serve as insertion depth regulations for twist-cap inserted into the aperture, and a baffle extending from one face of the opener around an aperture for adjusting the operative diameter of the aperture for use with smaller twist-caps.
