    摘要: The present embodiments provide a woven element having a first plurality of warp threads extending in a first direction and integrated into a first surface on a front side of the woven element. The woven element may have a second plurality of warp threads extending in the first direction, where the second plurality of warp threads is integrated into a second surface on a back side of the woven element. A first weft thread may extend in a second direction, where a first portion of the first weft thread is positioned in front of at least one warp thread of the first plurality of warp threads to form at least a portion of a graphic image on the front surface. A second portion of the first weft thread may extend between the first plurality of warp threads and the second plurality of warp threads.

    摘要: A shuttleless weaving loom with a weft insertion device. A transfer device and retaining disc are connected to the weft insertion device such that the retaining disc holds the weft fiber in a fixed orientation as it traverses through the shed of the loom. A plurality of sensors which are part of a microcircuit are mounted on the retaining disc for measurement of the weft fiber's position. A signaling circuit is mounted on the shuttleless loom and an electrical connector is connected to the signaling circuit to allow for external monitoring or display of the weft fiber's position. The measurements from the plurality of sensors are communicated through the electrical connector to an external device such that the position and orientation of the weft fiber can be monitored or displayed as the weft insertion device travels through the shuttleless loom.

    摘要: A wearable band includes a woven material having two or more stretch regions. The different stretch regions can be formed by varying the tension on subsets of the warp threads, the weft threads, or both the warp and weft threads. A system for producing the woven material can include two or more tension control devices operably connected to a processing device. Each tension control device is configured to adjust the amount of tension in a respective subset of threads (e.g., warp threads) in the woven material during a weaving operation. The processing device is configured to select thread tension patterns for the subsets of threads used during the weaving operation. Each thread tension pattern includes tension settings for the subsets of threads, where at least one tension setting in one thread tension pattern differs from the tension settings in the other tension patterns.

    摘要: This invention concerns a weft thread clamp with two jaws (1), (2) that can be moved to an opened and closed position, with at least one jaw (1) being directly moveable to the closed position via fluid pressure. The moveable jaw is preferably (1) a moveable unit, preferably made of a light material or in a compact form, which is moveable as a complete unit under the influence of the fluid pressure. Such a weft thread clamp is more reliable and simpler, and has a quicker reaction speed than the known pneumatically controllable weft thread clamps. This invention also concerns a system for the presentation of weft threads to a weaving machine equipped with one or more such weft thread clamps, as well as a weaving machine equipped with such a presentation system.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for inserting weft yarn material, comprising an insertion system in a loom. According to the invention, for every insertion the insertion system (A) is supplied with a substantial part of the weft yarn required for the insertion in a loose and substantially tension-free manner so as to be intermittently pulled off. A tubular package of adjacent windings is produced from the weft yarn material on an inner mechanical support (S) by way of an at least substantially continuous winding process and is conveyed forward in withdrawal direction. For an insertion, a number of windings that corresponds at least approximately to the weft yarn section intended to be inserted is detached or set free from the support while maintaining its tubular configuration without yarn tension. The weft yarn material is withdrawn directly inwardly from the frontmost winding and then further along the tube axis (X).

    摘要: During weft yarn insertion in a loom, as the end of weft yarn insertion approaches, a controllable yarn deviation brake (B), positioned between a weft feeder (M) and a warp shed (F) of a loom (D) brakes the weft yarn (Y) with a high braking force, causing a deviation of the yarn deviation brake which subsequently smooths down a tension peak of the yarn, so as to partially reduce the yarn brake deviation back towards the starting position, or position having no deviation. The same function is performed upon cutting of the weft yarn (Y). After braking and reduction of the yarn tension peak, during the weft insertion step, the braking force is reduced to a level correlated to the yarn tension which prevails up to cutting of the weft yarn (Y).
