Abstract:
A ironing machine (1) comprising: an axially-rotatable ironing drum (4); a motor assembly adapted to drive the ironing drum (4) into rotation about the drum longitudinal axis (A); an ironing chest (7) which is arranged adjacent to the ironing drum (4), locally substantially parallel to the peripheral surface (4p) of said ironing drum (4); a supporting assembly (9) adapted to keep the ironing drum (4) and the ironing chest (7) adjacent to one another; and an induction device (10) which is located adjacent to the ironing chest (7) and is adapted to heat up, via electromagnetic induction, the ironing chest (7); said ironing chest (7) comprising a platelike member (13) which extends beside the ironing drum (4), is substantially C-bent so as to extend locally substantially parallel to the peripheral surface (4p) of said ironing drum (4), and has a multilayer structure that includes: a main supporting sheet (14) which is substantially C-bent and is made of a metal material having a given thermal conductivity; and a ferromagnetic layer (15) which covers the convex face of said main supporting sheet (14), and is made of a ferromagnetic metal material having a thermal conductivity lower than that of the metal material forming said main supporting sheet (14).

Abstract:
An improved ironer chest for an ironing device, wherein said ironer chest is of a double-walled design and has an inner wall (1) and an outer wall (2), between which a chamber (3) extends through which a medium can flow, in which one or more elements (4) which increase heat transfer are arranged adjacent to the inner wall (1), and wherein the ironer chest comprises a partition wall (6) which is provided with passage openings (7) and which divides the chamber (3) into a first chamber (9) which contains the one or more elements (4) which increase heat transfer and a second chamber (5), adjacent to the outer wall (2), which is free from said elements (4) which increase heat transfer. In addition, the present invention relates to an ironing device comprising such an ironer chest.
Abstract:
An ironer bed comprising a pair of metal plates (6, 7) that are joined by welding in two layers such that, between the plates, passages (5) are provided for a heat medium; and are configured such that they are capable of partially enclosing an ironer roller (12-15). The plate (7) that faces towards the ironing roller (12-15) is made of non-alloy or low-alloy steel; and the plate (6) that faces away from the ironer roller (12-15) is a plate of stainless steel which is thinner than the former plate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a rotary ironer comprising at least one essentially horizontally located ironing roller having a circular-cylindrical surface and being rotatably journalled about an axis of rotation through the centre of the roller, and wherein, for each ironing roller, there is provided an ironing pan, wherein the ironing pan is configured from two flexible, essentially rectangular steel plates that are mutually spaced apart, but being closely joined along their periphery, whereby they combine to form a hollow, flexible ironing pan that is able to adapt to the circular-cylindrical surface of the ironing roller and wherein, on the ironing pan at one or more positions along the axis of rotation of the ironing roller, is configured one or more supply pipes, integrally with the ironing pan, for supplying steam to the cavity of the ironing pan. The invention is characterised in that the integral supply pipes at each position on the ironing pan are configured as separate pipes, there being on the integral supply pipes at each position configured separate coupling flanges/stubs for connecting steam supply pipes to the integral supply pipes.
