    摘要: A rail damper mounting apparatus including a clipping device adapted to clip onto a rail, and a mounting device adapted to allow an oscillator to secure thereto. The rail damper mounting apparatus forms at least three clipping points with a rail when the rail damper mounting device is installed to the rail. A rail damping system containing one or more such rail damper mounting apparatus is also disclosed. With at least three clipping points/areas in the mount apparatus, it provides a strong clipping force compressing the wedge-liked rail foot by a very stiff clip.

    摘要: A clip insertion system is disclosed inserting and/or removing clips from rail plates. The clip insertion system described herein may comprise a hand tool that positions and inserts a clip into a rail plate that is attached to the railroad tie. The clip secures the steel rail to the tie. This invention represents a significant improvement over existing clip setting hand tools by improving useability, reducing safety risks, and increasing efficiency in the process/method of securing the rail using clips and/or other clip-based technologies. This system also provides and improved method of moving and positioning the tool as it is moved to successive clip insertion locations.

    摘要: A tie plate inserter assembly on a track mounted machine is provided that is configured to ensure appropriate location of a tie plate and a tie relative to a rail of a railway. The assembly includes a frame supported, at least indirectly, on a chassis of the machine and having a tie plate clamp assembly that includes a self-centering mechanism that centers the tie plate relative to a longitudinal centerline the tie. The tie plate clamp assembly has a first clamp plate and a second clamp plate configured to clamp together to hold the tie plate. The tie clamp assembly also has first and second clamp plates configured to clamp together to hold the tie in place. The assembly may additionally include a tie clamp assembly that can actuated to center the tie relative to a reference point on the frame.

    摘要: A rail plate handling device is provided for removing and reinstalling rail tie plates, wherein at least one of the rails is raised from an operational position during the removal and installation process. A frame is configured for movement relative to the track; at least one tie plate gripping assembly is mounted to the frame, the assembly is configured for grasping a selected tie plate at front and rear edges between an adjacent rail raised from the operational position supported by the selected tie plate and the associated tie, pulling the selected plate away from the adjacent raised rail and away from the associated tie, retaining the selected plate in a suspended position above the track while the tie is extracted and a new tie inserted, and then replacing the suspended tie plate back upon the rail from a gage side of the rail.
