    摘要: A bottom-founded offshore structure in relatively shallow waters is protected against sliding. It uses at least one pile and a suction pump inside the pile. The pile has a length-to-diameter ratio such as to achieve sufficient pile imbedment with the selected suction pump. A dedicated pile lowering and lifting device lowers and lifts the pile as needed. Guides allow the pile's vertical motion and limit its rotational motion during imbedment and extraction. A stop device limits the vertical motion of the pile's top rim during pile extraction. The pile is reusable, light weight, easy to install and to extract, self-contained, and economical in relationship to its high holding power when imbedded.

    摘要: To prevent adhesion of a support body and a hardened body of a hydraulic composition, the hydraulic composition being used for a soil structure such as a retaining wall built in a soil excavating work in the civil engineering and construction fields, a composition (A) composed of at least an alkaline-water-soluble resin with an acid value of not less than 15 mgKOH/g and a water-absorbent material is provided so as to intervene between the support body and the hardened body of the hydraulic composition, either by applying the composition (A) on a surface of the support body, or by covering the support body with a sheet-like member on which the composition (A) is applied. The alkaline-water-soluble resin dissolves in alkaline water upon contact with the same contained in the hydraulic composition. As the alkaline-water-soluble resin dissolves, the water-absorbent material swells absorbing the alkaline water, whereby a layer of the water-absorbent material which has swollen is formed between the hardened body of the hydraulic composition and the support body, preventing the adhesion therebetween.

    摘要: A preferred embodiment of the reduced skin friction driven sheet pile is particularly suited for driving into soils having compressible soil disposed above harder soil, with the sheet pile being configured to extend downwardly through the compressible soil into the harder soil. Preferably, the sheet pile is of formed sheet material, and incorporates an elongated opposed exterior surfaces and elongated opposed side edges which are shaped for interlocking with side edges of duplicate ones of the sheet pile. A friction reduction coating is adhered to the opposed exterior surfaces over a predetermined portion of the length of the sheet pile so that when the sheet pile is driven through the compressible soil and into the harder soil, the friction reduction coating contacts the compressible and/or harder soil and decreases the coefficient of friction between the opposed exterior surfaces of the sheet pile and the compressible and/or harder soil.

    摘要: A device for use with a pier installation apparatus of the type employed in lifting and supporting a foundation is provided. A mounting beam assembly for mounting hydraulic power cylinders in a straddling position around a pier to be driven into the ground by the installation apparatus. The beam assembly is a planar member having a central opening for receiving the pier therethrough. It is comprised of opposing plate members beneath which the hydraulic cylinders are mounted. The plate members each have an opening which allows passage of the piston rod through the hydraulic cylinder. Alternatively, the beam assembly may be comprised of a unitary plate member having a lateral opening at a side edge. The mounting beam assembly allows for lateral placement around a pier in the installation apparatus, and may be completely disassembled for quick and efficient installation and removal.

    摘要: A helical pier assembly having a helix mounted on the end of a pier shaft. A pier-cap stabilizer is driven with force down over the pier shaft until the top of the pier meets a stop pin secured in the pier cap. A platform screw jack is placed op top of the pier cap under the footing or foundation. The jack screws are extended down onto the pier cap until the platform jack comes into contact with the bottom of the footing or foundation. The jack screws are turned until the required support contact is achieved between the pier cap stabilizer and the footing or foundation. A bag of concrete is placed between the screw jack and the bottom of the footing to prepare the footing.

    摘要: An erection anchor having a forged unitary body that includes a substantially cylindrical shank with one end embedable in a concrete panel and an opposite end extending into a recess in an end of the concrete panel. The forged unitary body also has a substantially cylindrical foot integrally formed with the one end of the shank and a shackle-engageable, planar head integrally formed with the opposite end of the shank. The planar head has first and second opposed substantially planar surfaces and a boss integrally formed with the planar head and extending outward from the first planar surface.
