摘要: A modular slab, slab system, piles and methods of use thereof are described along with specific applications and methods of manufacture. The slab or slab system may be pre-insulated and pre-finished before being assembled on site. The slab system may be advantageous to use as a replacement for traditional in-situ poured building foundations. The slab system may also have uses in other fields such as for floors, roads, bridges, pavements/side walks and other civil and structural applications.

摘要: A cement form can be made of foam and include a brick ledge portion that forms a brick ledge in a cement foundation. In some embodiments, the cement form includes a ground facing surface extending horizontally and configured to contact a ground surface and a cement facing surface extending vertically and configured to contact and support a volume of cement used to create the cement foundation. The cement facing surface can include two vertical surfaces offset horizontally from each other and configured to form a brick ledge in the cement foundation. The cement form can be a single unitary component having an elongated shape and a solid, continuous construction. The foam material can form at least a portion of the cement facing surface.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for re-purposing discarded asphalt shingles as soil stabilizers in building and land surface constructions. Discarded (and typically “degraded”) Asphalt Shingles (DAS) are placed beneath building foundation slabs and parking lots in overlapping patterns to replace a measured amount of removed expansive soil to serve as a moisture barrier. DAS can be utilized beneath parking lots in areas of expansive soils by layering the shingles in overlapping patterns to create a moisture barrier from water intrusion from above or below. Building block system (BBS) units may be produced to facilitate handling and transport of the DAS materials to the construction site.

摘要: The invention relates to a foundation for a wind power plant, wherein the foundation (10) comprises substantially prefabricated elements, preferably of reinforced concrete, with a first, vertically extending base-like section (11), on which a tower of the wind power plant can be arranged, and a second, substantially horizontally extending section (12) as foundation body, which is in contact with the ground (100), wherein the first section (11) is arranged above the second section (12). Thereby, according to the invention, it is provided that the first vertically extending base-like section (11) is formed of at least three layers (13, 16, 17) arranged one above the other, of which the upper and the lower layer (13, 17) comprise at least two ring-like layers (13a, 13b, 17a, 17b) and the middle layer (16) is formed from at least one ring-like layer (16a), in that the height (H+I, 2×I) of the upper and/or lower layer (13, 17) is less than the height (J) of the middle layer (16), and in that the layers (13, 16, 17) are vertically braced to the second section (12) by means of at least two vertical tendons (19).

摘要: The plastic cribbing blocks are useful in their stacked configuration for supporting a structure during a leveling procedure on an uneven ground surface. The tops and bottoms of the cribbing blocks include interlocking mechanisms or texturing to prevent lateral movement between adjacent blocks when they are in their stacked configuration. A plurality of the plastic cribbing blocks can be placed in their nesting configuration, such that the tops of lower blocks are nested within the bottoms of upper blocks. This configuration may be used for transporting or storing the blocks. The blocks are generally rectangular with a top central horizontal panel, a bottom perimeter horizontal panel and four sides extending between the top central horizontal panel and the bottom perimeter horizontal panel. The block includes interior and exterior ribs or structures.

摘要: The present invention relates to a building system and a method of making and assembling the building system. In particular, the present invention relates to a footing for a building structure, the footing comprises a plurality of precast concrete layers, each precast concrete layer comprising reinforcement bars and a plurality of apertures. The footing further comprises a base structure comprising a base plate and a plurality of alignment bars protruding from the base plate. The footing is configured such that when the plurality of precast concrete layers are positioned on top of one another, the plurality of alignment bars of the base structure extend through the respective apertures of each precast concrete layer. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a building structure having one or more building modules.

摘要: A method for the construction of an improved tank base. A tank base is constructed for protection against accidental spills and/or leaks associated with a tank battery. The improved tank base comprises at least one part of a suitable substrate, which allows for the adhesion of an elastomer such as polyurea. Polyurea is preferably applied using a spray device which yields an average coverage of about 50-80 mils, and most preferably 60 mils. If more than one substrate is used, one or more substrates can be bound together with a fastening system. Once pressure is applied in the form of weight, the fastening system can be removed, resulting in an improved tank base having at least one seam and impervious to the fluid of the tank battery.

摘要: A drainage and ventilation system includes a plurality of drainage cores. Each core includes a sheet having a first and a second end, a first and a second side, and a plurality of dimples disposed between the ends and the sides. The dimples extend outwardly from the sheet and define a plurality of passages. The passages include passages extending from end to end and passages extending from side to side. The system also includes a fabric attached to each core. The passages of the cores receive and convey a flow of at least one of liquid, air and gas through the drainage cores. In one embodiment, the cores are disposed in soil, and the dimples are filled with an adhesive to enhance the shock absorbing properties of the soil. In another embodiment, the dimples are filled a cement-based material for adhering a finish material to the cores.
