摘要: An emergency destruct system for destroying the information on microfiches attached to cards stored in security containers like the drawers of a combination lock safe. The system includes a storage tray for the cards, a tank holding fluid which can dissolve the emulsion on the microfiches, a release port assembly on the bottom of the tank and means for actuating the assembly to open the port and release the fluid contained therein. The tray contains styrofoam spacers which form compartments to store the microfiche cards, is open at the sides and is placed in the bottom of the drawer. The tank is held above the tray by a retaining member which is affixed to the upper drawer separator. The back of the drawer is cut off and a rubber pad is secured to the back of the safe to form a back for the drawer when it is in the fully closed position. The release port assembly includes a prestressed glass disc, some gaskets, a spring member and a retaining member, the glass disc keeping the fluid in the tank from dropping out on the tray. When ready to destroy the microfiche a piston is made to strike the edge of the prestressed glass, shattering it and allowing the spring to propel the glass into the tray, thereby opening the release port. The piston is part of a piston motor which has a resistance wire surrounded by an explosive charge. An electrical impulse generator is squeezed to send current into the resistance wire. The current heats the wire and this explodes the charge causing the piston to strike the glass. Preferably, the tray fits into a liner which fits into the drawer, the upper space of the liner accommodating the tank. The rear of the liner is excised so that the rear of the liner does not contact the tank when the drawer is pulled out.

摘要: An automated payment system for use in a service station. The system includes at least one fuel dispenser for dispensing fuel and having a user interface for directing how payment for the fuel is to be processed. The system also includes a payment terminal positioned in proximity to the fuel dispenser for receiving the payments. The terminal has rigid outer walls forming an enclosed interior section for housing the payments. In one embodiment, the terminal has rigid outer walls forming a substantially H-shape with two indents positioned on the exterior of the payment terminal. A pair of support posts are firmly mounted within the indents for securing the payment terminal in position. Mounting mechanisms may attach the payment terminal to the support post and be positioned such that they are contained within the terminal and post to restrict access.

摘要: A marking device in a paper money theft proof system can surely provide a mark to stolen paper money so as to alert the public, and can also be used repeatedly, and thus economically. The marking device has a sensor that detects a shock produced when a paper money container is moved or broken to take paper money contained in the paper money container out of it. A marking device provides a mark to at least a part of the paper money under the control of signals from the sensor, the marking device being constructed so as to partially cut the paper money.

摘要: A device for dropping tokens into a drop box. The device may be used on a gaming table over a drop box. The device has a base, which is mounted on a surface, and a door, which is movably connected to the base. The door swings open to allow tokens, coins, chips, etc., to drop through the base into a drop box below. The door also allows the tokens, coins, chips, etc, to rest so that they may seen before being dropped into the drop box. This device is particularly useful on poker tables, where the casino takes a cut of the winnings.

摘要: Method and device (10) for marking objects (100), particularly for marking objects in banknote cassettes (1) or in other valuable object storage spaces. There is used a container (60) which can be punctured or otherwise opened and which is placed adjacent the object/objects (100) to be marked. The device includes means (13) which is caused to puncture or otherwise open the container (60) when necessary, so as to enable the content (61) of the container to come into contact with the object/objects (100) and therewith mark said object/objects and/or render the same useless. The marking device (10) and the container (60) fitted thereto are placed in the upper region of the space (1) so that the container is able to come into contact with said object/objects (100) at least partially with the aid of gravity. The puncturing means/opening means (13) is released from an active rest position when an alarm is triggered, so as to slit or otherwise open the container (60) in a guillotine fashion.

摘要: A safe for valuable documents having a shell protection around the safe for impeding attempts to force an entry thereinto and processor unit actuated in response to damage to the shell protection to initiate a safe protection function. The safe contains a plurality of units for accommodating documents, at least one of which includes a portable safe deposit box that, when placed in the safe, can be electrically connected thereto. The safe deposit box has a protective shell and a destructive device designed to effect local destruction of documents contained in the box. The destructive device operates automatically in response to damage to the protective shell when the safe deposit box is removed from the safe and an attempt is made to force the box open. However, when the safe deposit box is placed in and electrically connected to the safe, the destructive device operates in response to actuation of the processor unit such that the protective function of the box is then subordinated to the safe protection function.

摘要: An expandable cash box system for storing bills including a chassis housing attachable to a bill validator and having an open end adapted to receive bills from the validator and a sliding enclosure housing disposed in telescopic relation to the chassis housing. A spring-loaded compressor plate is provided within the two housings and a control system between the two telescoping housing determines the expansion as bills are received by the cash box. The control system may include interengaging resilient members and a set of grooves receiving the resilient members and a guidance system facilitates the alignment of the two housings.

摘要: Apparatus is disclosed for moving an automatic teller machine and the like between an operational position and a servicing position to provide access to the back of the machine for servicing. The apparatus essentially comprises a stationary frame and a moving carriage supported by the frame. In the operational position, the front end of the carriage is coextensive with the front end of the frame. In the servicing position, however, the front end of the carriage is cantilevered beyond the front end of the frame. The carriage may also be telescopic such that a telescoping member is contained in the carriage to allow the carriage more movement. In order to move and support the carriage, especially in the servicing position, there is a shaft freely rotatable in a pair of bearings at the front end of the frame on which the carriage rides. The back end of the carriage rides within the frame's rails, which prevent the carriage from moving up or down but otherwise freely allow lateral movement. By turning the shaft, with a hand crank or a small motor, the carriage with the teller machine can easily be moved between operational to servicing positions. An ATM housing shaped like a cabinet is also disclosed that contains a door in the back for servicing the ATM. When the ATM is housed in a cabinet, the whole cabinet moves between the servicing and operational position.
