    摘要: The present invention provides a battery-free electronic key used in motorcycles and improves security.A communication circuit (44) is actuated when an electronic key is inserted into a keyhole. An electromotive force generated in a coil L2 is rectified by a power circuit (74) and supplied to the components of an electronic key-side circuit (40) as a source of power, in accordance with the variations of an electromagnetic field having a frequency of f0 generated by the communication circuit (44). The electronic key-side circuit (40) reads identification information from a storage unit (72), and the information is converted to ternary value data in a binary value/ternary value conversion circuit (70). Transistors Tr1 and Tr2 are switched on and off in accordance with the bit values of 2-bit data that expresses ternary value data, which generates three-stage variations in the electromagnetic field between coils L1 and L2. The communication circuit (44) detects this fluctuation, and the ternary value/binary value conversion circuit (54) converts the data from a ternary value to binary value data to acquire the original identification information. An ECU (56) verifies the identification information and starts the engine (62) when verification has been established.

    摘要: An ignition lock is provided for a driving authorization system in a motor vehicle that interacts for authentication purposes with an electronic key or the like via an encoded operating signal. The ignition lock contains a moving element that can move from a starting position into at least one actuating position of a switching element. The moving element has a switching effect on the switching element in the actuating position. The ignition lock includes a lever that can be inserted into the moving element for manually moving the moving element. A locking feature interacts with the lever in the inserted state so that the removal of the lever from the moving element is blocked. The lever contains an actuating element for the release of the locking feature so that upon actuation of the actuating element the lever can be removed from the moving element.

    摘要: A locking device suitable for NID housing security. The device includes a slotted cylinder, a key and key tool. The slotted cylinder has a resistance component contained in the cylinder. The key is mateable with the slotted cylinder and is held in place by the force of the resistance component. The key head has a cavity therein of a complimentary shape to the key tool so that the tool may be used to turn the key for locking or unlocking. A cylindrical sleeve is used for additional security. The sleeve fits over the mated key and slotted cylinder to protect against release of the parts and may further provide a barrier to removal from a structure being locked. By use of different key head cavity shapes each subscriber may only access their own line in a NID.

    摘要: A key reminder device for use in combination with a key lock mechanism having an adjustable timer with a predetermined timer interval electrically coupled to a replaced power supply. The timer is energized upon detection of a conventional key inserted into the key lock mechanism. Should the key remain in the key lock mechanism beyond a predetermined time, the timer will activate an audible alarm to remind the owner of the keys to remove them. Should the timer be set at a low level, the device operates to indicate the presence of a key. When used in combination with a visual indicator, the key reminder provides an indicator of door entry to the hearing impaired.

    摘要: A cylinder lock system employs a key which has a pair of projections extending from opposing parallel edges of the key blade. The keyway of the lock has an enlarged slot portion for receiving the projections upon insertion of the key. One of the projections cams pins of an auxiliary pin stack to present a shear line between the pins to permit rotation of the key plug to an unlocked mode. The other projection is received in a groove formed in the shell and is engageable against a surface of the groove upon rotation of the key to retain the key within the keyway.

To make certain that when the occupant is at home and with the latch bolt extended by the inside key to locked position, there can be no lost key situation blocking exit by the occupant in case of an emergency such as a fire, the dead bolt mechanism is arranged to trap the key in the lock whenever the dead bolt is extended to locked position, but to release the key when withdrawn. A yieldable mechanism permits unlocking the latch bolt from the outside even when a key is left in the lock on the inside.

    摘要: A locking device mountable within a door in a door frame, comprises a casing including a pair of side plates, a toothed-wheel rotatably disposed between the side plates, and a plurality of locking bars coupled to the toothed-wheel and projectable thereby into locking engagement with the door frame. The toothed-wheel is formed with a cam surface for each locking bar, each locking bar carrying at its inner end a cam follower movable along the respective cam surface of the toothed-wheel. The side plates are formed with guiding slots for each locking bar guiding the movement thereof such that the rotation of the toothed-wheel in one direction projects the outer ends of the locking bars from the door into locking engagement with the door frame, and the rotation of the toothed-wheel in the opposite direction withdraws the locking bars into the door.According to a further feature, the locking device is a rim lock actuated by a key and mountable adjacent to one side of the door, one of the locking bars being a locking bolt projectable from and withdrawable into that side of the door, the remaining locking bars being locking rods projectable from and withdrawable into the remaining three sides of the door.
