摘要： An multi-position ladder is disclosed that includes an adjustable top cap that provides a tool or material tool tray when the ladder is in a stepladder position and provides a step when the ladder is in an extension ladder position is disclosed. The top cap generally comprises a rigid frame extending between the adjustable hinges of the multi-position ladder with a tool or utility tray and a step surface on opposing sides. The tool tray is parallel to the ladder rungs when the ladder is in a stepladder position, and the step surface provides a generally planar surface parallel the rungs when the ladder is in an extension position. The rigid frame of the top cap adds strength to the adjustment hinge and to the multi-position ladder. Embodiments allow for 12-inch hinge spacing, adding one foot reach in the extension position and six inch reach to the stepladder.

摘要： Disclosed is a strong, lightweight, electrically nonconductive ladder having two slotted wood side rails spanned by tubular metal rungs. Each rail comprises two parallel wood slats oriented perpendicular to the plane of the ladder and spaced apart in the plane to the ladder by spaced, thin, rectangular wood chocks adhesively bonded in face to face relation to the slats. Tensioned tie rods extending through the rungs compressively hold the rungs socketed anti-rotationally in and between the side rails in an integral structure resistant to racking, bending or torsional strain.

摘要： A multi-purpose ladder with improved rungs has two ladder sections, and each of the ladder sections comprises two inner rails attached with inner rungs and two outer rails attached with outer rungs. Each of the inner rungs is composed of an upper rung member, a square pipe shaped intermediate rung member, and a lower rung member. The upper rung member and the lower rung member each have a slant pedal section and two support sections. The two support sections join the upper and lower side of the intermediate rung member and the slant pedal section. The slant pedal section inclines an angle corresponding to the outer rungs such that the inner rungs provide strong strength for being stepped on.

摘要： Self-locking bi-foldable load bearing segments are disclosed that can be used in applications such as ladders or ramp. First and second sections of the segment are foldably coupled to transition between an open configuration and a folded configuration. The first and second sections can include rungs pivotally attached to rails that can be further transitioned from the folded configuration to a collapsed configuration, but not transitioned from the open configuration to the collapsed configuration. Openings in the side walls of the rails allow the rungs to pivot in one direction, but not an opposite direction. In the open configuration, the openings of the first and second sections may be oriented opposite, and the direction of allowed rotation of the rungs of the first section and second section are opposite, restricting compression of the rails together. In the folded configuration, the openings of the first and second sections can be oriented the same to allow rotation of the rungs and compression of the rails together.
