摘要: The disclosure is directed to an apparatus or a system for generating energy in response to a vehicle wheel rotation. The apparatus or the system may include a roller configured to be positioned in substantial physical contact within a groove of a wheel of the vehicle. The roller may be configured to rotate in response to a rotation of the wheel. The apparatus or the system may further include a flexible arm rotatably couplable to the roller such that rotation of the roller causes the flexible arm to rotate. The flexible arm may be configured to exert a downward force on the roller to increase the friction between the roller and the groove of the wheel. The apparatus or the system may further include a first generator operably coupled to the flexible arm and configured to generate an electrical output based on the rotation of the flexible arm shaft and convey the electrical output to an energy storage device or vehicle motor.

摘要: A linear energy harvesting device that includes a housing and a piston that moves at least partially through the housing when it is compressed or extended from a rest position. When the piston moves, hydraulic fluid is pressurized and drives a hydraulic motor. The hydraulic motor drives an electric generator that produces electricity. Both the motor and generator are central to the device housing. Exemplary configurations are disclosed such as monotube, twin-tube, tri-tube and rotary based designs that each incorporates an integrated energy harvesting apparatus. By varying the electrical characteristics on an internal generator, the kinematic characteristics of the energy harvesting apparatus can be dynamically altered. In another mode, the apparatus can be used as an actuator to create linear movement. Applications include vehicle suspension systems (to act as the primary damper component), railcar bogie dampers, or industrial applications such as machinery dampers and wave energy harvesters, and electro-hydraulic actuators.

摘要: An improved alternator system for an electric vehicle. The system includes a magnetic connector attached to a rim of a vehicle wheel. The magnetic connector is connected to a magnetic bar. The magnetic bar increases the magnetic field produced by the magnetic connector. The magnetic bar is magnetically connected to a rotator located within an alternator. As the rim rotates the magnetic bar will be rotated causing the rotator within the alternator to rotate. This will engage the alternator to produce power.

摘要: A vibrational lens is disclosed. The vibrational lens comprises at least two focusing plates each having a proximal and distal end. The separation between the distal ends of the at least two focusing plates is less than the separation between the proximal ends of the at least two focusing plates. The vibrational lens transmits, converges and focuses vibrational energy from a source to an energy conversion means such as piezoelectric crystals. The vibrational lens may also comprise a bimetallic structure to convert thermal fluctuations into mechanical displacement. The vibrational lens is suitable for use in a vibrational and or thermal energy harvesting system. Advantageously, the vibrational lens improves the energy efficiency of, for example, an internal combustion engine whilst mitigating the need for vibrational damping mechanisms and or thermal insulation.

摘要: The VEHICLE WITH TRAVELING WAVE THRUST MODULE APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS include force or forces applied to an arc-like flexible sheet-like material to create a deformed crenated strip fin with strained-deformations. The strained-deformations take on a sinusoid-like form that express the internal energy state of the flexible sheet-like material after it has been configured into a crenated strip fin. After being incorporated into a mechanism with couplings that prevent the crenated strip fin from returning to its un-strained state, the strained-deformations persist. Actuators may be used to sequentially rotate vertebrae attached to the fins causing the travel of sinusoid-like deformations along the fins. The fin, fin actuator or actuators, power source and central controller may be incorporated into a thrust module. Two thrust modules couple to each other via roll actuators and flexible coupling members may form a vehicle with exceptional maneuverability.

摘要: A body force per unit mass acting on mobile charge carriers within a first electrically conducting material is configured to induce at least one region of accumulation of charge within at least a portion of the first material. The magnitude of the associated change in the voltage between two given points within the first material is a function of the relevant electrical properties of the material. A second electrically conducting material can be electrically coupled to the first material via a first electrical contact. The relevant electrical properties of the second material can be configured to be different to the relevant electrical properties of the first material. The voltage difference between the two points in the first material can be different to the voltage difference between two equivalent points in the second material. The difference in the voltage difference can be employed to increase the voltage of mobile charge carriers within a portion of an open or closed electrical circuit relative to another portion of said circuit. A voltage conversion apparatus and method can be used to convert thermal energy into electrical energy, for example.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a power control circuit includes a converter, a signal generating circuit, an estimation unit, and a controller. The converter includes a switching circuit and is configured to transform an output voltage from a power generator. The signal generating circuit is configured to transmit a signal to the switching circuit. The estimation unit is configured to determine a switching operation condition based on vibration information indicative of a vibration applied to the power generator. The controller is configured to control an operation of the switching circuit based on the determined switching operation condition.

摘要: A heat exchanger system includes a heat exchanger device, which has elastocaloric elements made of elastocaloric material and is designed to move the elastocaloric elements, as a result of which said elements are deformed, so that an elastocaloric effect is achieved. The heat exchanger system further includes a vibrating unit, which generates mechanical vibrations, and a vibration transfer device arranged between the vibrating unit and the heat exchanger device, and which transfers the vibrations from the vibrating unit into the elastocaloric elements so that the elastocaloric elements move.
