    摘要: An apparatus and method of controlling air compressors is disclosed. In this invention, an air compressor is started to supply compressed air to an air tank. A temperature sensor senses the lubrication oil temperature of the compressor, and outputs a temperature signal to the controller, which compares the sensed oil temperature with a preset reference temperature. When the sensed oil temperature is not higher than the preset reference temperature, a pressure sensor senses the compressed air pressure within the tank, and outputs a pressure signal to the controller. When the compressed air pressure is higher than a minimum pressure, the controller lowers the frequency of a drive signal for the air compressor and operates the air compressor at a low rpm. When the compressed air pressure is higher than a preset maximum pressure, the controller operates the air compressor at a minimum rpm and partially discharges compressed air from the tank into the atmosphere. When the compressed air pressure is higher than a preset stop pressure, the controller stops the operation of the air compressor. When the compressed air pressure is not higher than the minimum pressure, the controller raises the frequency of the drive signal for the compressor, thus smoothly operating the air compressor and lengthening the expected life span of the air compressor.

    摘要: An operation control method of a reciprocating compressor is disclosed in which, in case that a motor is overloaded, an operation frequency is increased to render magnetic fluxes of a magnet and an input current are mutually offset, so that a reciprocating compressor can be stably driven even in case of the overload. For this purpose, while the reciprocating compressor using an inverter is operated at a rated frequency, a current load of the motor is measured and the measured load is compared with a pre-set reference load. Upon comparison, if the measured load is greater than the reference load, it is determined as an overload and the operation frequency is increased by as much as a certain value higher than an oscillation frequency, for performing an overload operation. In order to compensate a stroke reduction generated as the operaiton frequency is increased by as much the certain value, the voltage applied to the motor is increased by as much as a certain level according to the increased operation frequency, thereby performing an overload operation.

The thermostat is able to more quickly close in response to undesirable conditions in the compressor, than would be the case with the motor protector switch typically found at the motor. The circuit associated with the motor protector switch preferably includes at least two heaters, with the normal heater associated with the power lines leading to the motor performing its normal function. The thermostat is preferably associated with an auxiliary heater. In another feature, a heater is preferably formed with a thick film technology directly onto an insulator element within the motor protector body.

    摘要: A unique protection circuit for a sealed compressor incorporates oil structure which directs a heated oil onto a motor protection circuit. The motor protection circuit is of the type which shuts down operation of an electric motor when a predetermined temperature is sensed. The motor protection circuit is positioned adjacent to an oil return path which is opened when a high temperature is experienced in the compressor pump unit. The valve in the path opens to allow flow of the returned oil onto the motor protection switch. The motor protection switch is then actuated to stop further operation of the motor. In another embodiment, the motor protection switch is immersed in the oil sump. Again, when the oil temperature increases to a predetermined amount, the motor protection switch stops further operation of the motor.

The temperature sensor is inserted into a recess of a pump casing of the pump. The recess produces a reduced wall thickness (d) in the region proximate the temperature sensor. The reduced wall thickness improves the heat transition through the pump casing from the fluid to the temperature sensor and reduces the outlay in terms of production. Furthermore, the temperature sensor is arranged on a carrier material common to a control of the pump so that the susceptibility of the contacting of the temperature sensor to faults is reduced.

A power cutting-off member is connected to the motor, and has a sensing element abutting the ceramics ring to sense a temperature of same for activation of the cutting-off member when a racing of the motor occurs to cause temperature of both the motor and the ring to rise.

    摘要: A scroll compressor is provided with a motor protector for stopping operation of its motor should conditions be indicative of a problem. The motor protector is sensitive to elevated temperature, and stops operation of the motor should a sensed temperature exceed a predetermined maximum. The motor protector is positioned in a chamber in a rear face of a base of the non-orbiting scroll. A port extends through the base of the non-orbiting scroll to connect a motor protector chamber to a suction chamber. Electric wires connect the motor protector to the motor and extend through this same port. In some embodiments, a pressure relief valve also communicates with the motor protector chamber. In one embodiment the motor protector chamber is enclosed by a cap and the pressure relief valve is mounted in that cap. In another embodiment the pressure relief valve extends through a wall of the non-orbiting scroll. In other embodiments, a pair of mating plugs connect the protector to the motor.
