    摘要: A method of connecting pipe ends of two subsea pipes using a jumper includes raising two separate ends of two separate pipelines from an initial position of each of the two separate ends; creating a jumper pipe; welding a flange with a landing saddle to each pipeline end; disposing a predetermined number of cylinders at a predetermined interval offset with respect to each of the cylinders; connecting a cylinder end to a first leg of the jumper pipe; connecting a rod end to a second leg of the jumper pipe; using the cylinders to contract the jumper in a predetermined plane so that the flanges clear the pipe ends but not the flange saddles; supporting the jumper by a spreader bar; lowering the jumper over the pipeline such that the flange saddles rest on the pipeline ends; relaxing at least one of the cylinders so the jumper expands in the predetermined plane, driving the flanges onto the pipeline ends; releasing the spreader bar; and lowering the pipeline ends and jumper to a predetermined position.

A plurality of bolt bore seats are located in the second surface and coaxially aligned with the bolt bores.

The flexible connector apparatus is provided for connecting first and second components in the exhaust system, and includes a bellows for accommodating relative movement between the first and second components. The flexible connector apparatus includes an annular vibration damping member connecting a down pipe to a mounting member for permitting restricted axial, lateral and angular movement of the down pipe, relative to the mounting member, which may be affixed to an exhaust manifold, for example. The apparatus also includes a sealing construction which enables weldless, gasketless connection of the bellows.

    摘要: A safety retainer assembly is disclosed herein for holding a shaped nut in position on a threaded nipple or the like, which includes an annular body having an internal bore configured adjacent one open end to conform with the shape of the nut and having an external shoulder with a stepped opening or hole for receiving the catch of a retaining pin formed in a rectilinear length of a locking clip. Internal splines are provided adjacent the other open end of the body shoulder adapted to receive mating external splines carried on a collar of the nipple to prevent relative movement therebetween whereby the nut cannot back off from its threaded connection with the threaded nipple. The circular locking clip includes a holding ear or dog on one end fitted into the stepped opening at the opposite end thereof from the seating of the release catch that is carried on the other end of the circular safety clip.

The outer and the inner leg are substantially parallel to one another and a capable of being fixed under stress with respect to the flange by the inner wall of the pipe when the legs are driven into the open pipe. The outer and the inner pipe engaging lands have an outer diameter greater than the inner diameter of the pipe before installation in the pipe, and they are flexed under stress toward the center of the pipe when the flange ring is installed in the pipe. The outer and the inner pipe engaging lands have an outer diameter equal to the inner diameter of the pipe after installation in the pipe. The outer and the inner pipe engaging lands are bent diagonally toward the flange. The flange includes two parallel faces, an outer face and an inner face. The outer face projects substantially perpendiculary from the outer leg. The inner face projects substantially perpendiculary from the inner leg.
