    摘要: A fitting assembly for connecting a first tube to a second tube includes first and second end fittings fixedly coupled to the first and second tubes, respectively. The first end fitting has a first aperture and a first sealing surface. The second end fitting is sized to be at least partially received within the first aperture and includes a second aperture extending through the second end fitting. The second end fitting further includes a second sealing surface. A seal is disposed between the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface. A lock fitting is slidingly associated with the second tube, and is also rotatable about the second tube. The lock fitting selectively engages the second fitting to compress the seal between the first and second sealing surface.

    摘要: In a joint structure, a tube member having a polygonal cross-section can be joined to a flange surface by full penetration welding with good strength margin, without imparting unreasonable force to the weld portion. The joint structure comprises a polygonal cylindrical lower guide tube joined by butt welding to a surface of a middle flange having a through-hole of the same shape as the lower guide tube, wherein at the end of the lower guide tube, within the linear portions that constitute each of the sides of the lower guide tube, there exists a weld portion welded to the surface in at least one location and an unwelded portion located separately from the weld portion, and a level difference at least as large as a distance equivalent to the weld shrinkage of the weld portion is provided between the end positions of the weld portion of the unwelded portion.

Each flange frame is L-shaped in radial section, having an outer radially extending flange leg and an inner flange leg in a duct section, each flange frame comprising a hollow into which a leg of an L-shaped intermediate connection is fitted. Each flange frame is connected to the other flange frame, as by bolts, etc. The butt connection is equally applicable to duct sections which are of round, flattened oval, and rectangular cross sections, with the same flange frame shapes and essentially the same intermediate connector being usable.
