摘要： A magazine for storing cased telescoped (CT) cartridges. The magazine includes vertically extending side-wall ribs that project inwards into a loading channel. The side-wall ribs are positioned in alignment with a circumferential groove in each CT cartridge. The side-wall ribs prevent a backwards oriented CT cartridge from being pushed from the loading position through the loading channel into a body of the magazine. A moveable lip at the top of the magazine may move out of the way when the magazine is attached to a firearm, to allow the CT cartridge located in the loading position to be fed vertically out of the top of magazine. Each CT cartridge may include a thermal protective insert that provides thermal insulation from heat emanating from a barrel of a firearm when the CT cartridge is located in a chamber of the firearm.

摘要： A preferred embodiment of a firearm cartridge clip is disclosed, in which the clip has an elongated housing extending from an open top end to an enclosed bottom end defining an elongated cartridge storage chamber. The clip has a cartridge support seat mounted in the chamber above a separate elevator element. A chamber compression spring is mounted in the chamber between a base at the bottom end and the elevator element to urge the elevator element upward. A separate movement-restraining means is associated with the cartridge support seat to resist downward movement of the seat from the opening at the top end. The clip has a loading facilitating means for selectively rendering the compression spring ineffective to urge the seat upward to thereby reduce the manual effort required to load the clip.

摘要： A cartridge magazine for firearms comprises a key insertable through a slot in the end panel of the magazine for engaging the spring engaged elevator upon which the shells are supported. The slot includes a series of transverse or lateral branches spaced longitudinally on the panel for receiving the key and locking the elevator in position. The magazine thus may be loaded with cartridge shells in stages as defined by the lateral locking branches. After loading is completed, the key may be removed from the magazine and clip so that the latter may be inserted into the firearm with which it is used. In an alternatively preferred embodiment, optional marking means are positioned on top of the magazine for placing an identifying marking on each cartridge shell.
