摘要： Muzzleloader systems include a pre-packaged propellant charge and primer for providing efficient loading and unloading of the muzzleloader. The muzzleloader accepts in the breech end the propellant containment vessel that abuts against a constriction portion with a reduced diameter portion. The propellant containment vessel having an end portion with a tapered surface that conforms to the constriction portion surface. A projectile is inserted in the muzzle end and seats against the constriction portion. The propellant containment vessel may be received in a removable breech plug. The constriction portion may be part of the breech plug or a separate component secured in the barrel by way of the breech plug. The containment vessel further comprises a primer mechanism that may be integrated into the proximal end of the containment vessel.

摘要： A muzzleloader firearm is converted into a firearm adapted for firing an arrow. The stock assembly of the muzzleloader firearm is retained while the barrel assembly is completely removed, and replaced by an arrow barrel assembly. The arrow barrel assembly has a stock assembly attachment for releasably engaging the stock assembly of the muzzleloader firearm, and a barrel attachment for engaging an inner barrel tube that holds an arrow shaft with a hollow interior and propels the arrow out of the firearm when a blank cap is activated, and an outer shroud to protect the inner barrel tube and enclose a loaded arrow. The arrow barrel assembly rearward end has formed recesses for receiving the blank cap and aligning the rim of the blank cap with the firing pin of the muzzleloader stock assembly.

摘要： An over-and-under shotgun apparatus includes a radius track which serves as a hinge for articulating the barrel portion of the shotgun apparatus relative to the receiver/stock portion of the shotgun apparatus. The radius track is defined by a female or concave portion formed on the monoblock attached to the shotgun barrels, and a male or convex portion formed on the frame or receiver section. The radius track defines a pivot axis that is spaced from the radius track. The radius track provides a substantial surface area sufficient to absorb all of the recoil force generated when the shotgun is discharged. No additional abutment surfaces are needed. A further aspect of the invention involves a novel trigger assembly, including a striker which moves toward the front end of the firearm when the firearm is cocked, and moves toward the butt end of the firearm when the trigger is pulled to discharge the firearm. Yet another novel aspect of the invention relates to a four-position safety switch for selecting the firing sequence of the upper and lower barrels.

摘要： A gun includes a frame and a pivoting barrel assembly which is releasably latched in a firing position by a pair of flexible and resilient latches on the barrel assembly which engage shoulders on the frame. A trigger is slidably mounted on the frame for movement between a rest position and a firing position. A projectile loader is mounted on the frame at the breech end of the barrel assembly for movement between a loading position and a firing position. The loader is provided with an opening which is aligned with a magazine in the frame when the loader is in the loading position and is aligned with the bore of the barrel assembly when the loader is in the firing position. A camming ramp on the trigger is engageable with the loader for moving the loader between the loading and firing positions as the trigger moves between the rest and firing positions. A trigger interlock is movably mounted on the frame and engages the trigger when the barrel assembly is out of the firing position for preventing the trigger from moving to the firing position. The trigger interlock is moved out of engagement with the trigger by the barrel assembly when the barrel assembly moves to the firing position.

摘要： A hypodermic dart gun of the firearm type includes a user-adjustable valve for regulating the feed rate of high pressure combustion gases from an exploded blank cartridge into the breech end of a gun barrel containing a hypodermic dart whereby the velocity of the ejected dart, and hence its effective range, is controlled. A pivotally mounted breech block for receiving the blank cartridge includes a baffle element for generating high combustion gas temperatures and pressures to ensure complete burning of the smokeless type gunpowder used in conventional blank cartridges. The adjustable valve forms a part of the breech block and is comprised of a high-temperature-resistant metering orifice whose cross-sectional area is determined by the position of a threaded member turnable in screwlike fashion into and out of a bore in a wall of the breech block.

摘要： The lightweight stock and frame construction for a firearm involves replacing a substantial portion of the side walls of the metal frame with forwardly extending portions of the side walls of the wooden or plastic stock. Specifically, the right hand and left hand sides of the stock are provided with right and left hand side wall extensions that extend forwardly from the forward end of the stock on each side thereof, and the right and left hand side walls of the frame are formed with openings conforming in shape to and adapted snugly to receive the said forwardly extending side wall extensions of the stock. The peripheries of the right hand and the left hand side wall extensions of the stock are each formed with an inwardly rising bevelled surface, and the peripheries of the right hand and the left hand side wall openings of the frame are each formed with an inwardly undercut bevelled surface that is adapted to contact snugly the inwardly rising bevelled surface of the periphery of the corresponding side wall extension of the stock. Inner support members are disposed on the inside surface of both the right and left hand side walls of the frame adjacent the forward ends of the right and left hand openings formed therein, these support members being adapted to contact and support the inner surfaces of the right hand and left hand side wall extensions of the stock at the forward ends thereof.

摘要： A projectile launcher in the form of a stun baton, or night stick, which is comprised of a barrel assembly, having a receiver therewithin its inward end, and a coaxial handle assembly which includes a firing mechanism, a firing mechanism safety, and a breech member disposed at one end thereof. Tee receiver end of the barrel assembly and the breech breech end of the handle assembly are respectively connected to opposing halves of a novel split collar ring. The halves of the collar ring are hinged axially for rotatably pivoting the handle portion transversely with the face of the receiver to provide for insertion of the projectile, and after firing for removal of the spent cartridge. A releasable locking mechanism is further provided to lock and align the assemblies in coaxial orientation whereupon release of the mechanism allows the pivotable rotation of the assemblies for disassociation therewith.
