Abstract: Proposed are an apparatus and a method for correcting a communication frequency of an electronic detonator, and the apparatus includes a communication packet reception part configured to receive communication packets generated at a preset frequency transmitted from a main control device, an oscillation frequency determination part configured to determine an oscillation frequency of an oscillator mounted in an MCU of an electronic detonator by referring to received communication packets, and an oscillation frequency correction part configured to analyze the communication packets by correcting a shift of a determined oscillation frequency.

Abstract: A digitally controlled hand-tossable explosive delivery receptacle comprises a ruggedized reusable compartment enclosing a digital circuit and a disposable cartridge holding one or more explosive chemical agents and a primer. The disposable cartridge is configured to be mounted to the ruggedized reusable cartridge, and a high-strength bulkhead incorporated into the reusable or disposable compartment that separates the digital circuit from the chemical agents. The reusable compartment is sufficiently ruggedized to withstand the ignition of the primer and the detonation of the chemical agents to be reused with one or more additional disposable cartridges. In one implementation, the delivery receptacle uses a commercial airbag initiator as the primer, which is arranged in relation to the one or more chemical agents so that when the initiator is activated, it generates a pressure wave that expels the one or more chemical agents from the grenade.

Abstract: A proximity fuse includes an electric-field (E-field) sensor to detect electrical disturbances from an object that is external and distinct from a device carrying the proximity fuse. The E-field sensor detects or senses E-fields versus time in order to provide omnidirectional coverage of the device carrying the proximity fuse. When the device carrying the fuse is a missile having warhead, the proximity fuse is connected with detonation logic that detonates the warhead at a desired time to destroy or neutralize the object, which is typically a threat, such as another missile.

Abstract: Method and systems of controlling detonation of a plurality of explosive charges. A controller has a magneto-inductive transmitter to transmit a magneto-inductive signal to a plurality of detonators, each having a receiver to receive the magneto-inductive signal and a respective firing delay time. The method includes, at each of the plurality of detonators, receiving, via the magneto-inductive signal from the magneto-inductive transmitter, a time sync signal; synchronizing a local clock in the detonator based on the time sync signal; receiving, via the magneto-inductive signal from the magneto-inductive transmitter, a firing code; waiting the respective firing delay time from receipt of the firing code, wherein the waiting is clocked by the local clock; and after expiry of the respective firing delay time, triggering a respective explosive associated with the detonator.
