    摘要: An adaptive cross polarization electronic countermeasures system comprising identical transmit and receive antennas. The transmit antenna is rotated 180 degrees with respect to the receive antenna. The transmit and receive antennas are mounted facing the same direction allowing for reception of an incoming RF signal from a monopulse radar and transmission of the signal back to the monopulse once ECM jamming is applied. The incoming RF signal is separated into vertical and horizontal components by coupling to vertical and horizontal feeds within the receive antenna. Each component is then amplified sequentially through the system and transmitted back to the monopulse radar. At the transmit antenna, the vertical component is transmitted out of the horizontal feed of the transmit antenna 180 degrees out of phase with respect to the feed. The horizontal component is transmitted out of the vertical feed of the transmit antenna with no phase shift. This results in a transmitted electromagnetic field vector which is orthogonal to the input electromagnetic field vector. Discrete vertical and horizontal components are being transmitted back to the monopulse radar with switching occurring every 500 microseconds.

    摘要: A countermeasure device which is supplied with air in order to actively compensate for external water pressure at any depth, is disclosed. The countermeasure includes an air bag hover system and one or more acoustic projectors, both of which are connected by an air line to a high pressure air source. A sensor is provided which measures the external water pressure and transmits the measurements to a microprocessor. Upon sensing an increased external water pressure, a pressure regulator valve is opened and air is supplied to both the acoustic projectors and the air bag in order to compensate for the increased water pressure. Similarly, if the external water pressure decreases, then air is released from both the air bag and the acoustic projectors through a pressure vent valve connected to the air bag. The microprocessor can also be programmed to vary the deployment depth of the device by varying the internal pressure within the device relative to the external water pressure.

An image synthesizer circuit is connected to the phase sampling circuit and arranged to receive the phase sample data therefrom. The digital image synthesizer circuit is arranged to process the phase sample data to form a false target signal, which is input to a signal transmitter system arranged to transmit the synthesized false target signal so that it can be received by a radar system.

    摘要: An improved communications jamming receiver is disclosed wherein time division multiplexing techniques are utilized that permit monitoring enemy radio frequency transmissions while in essence concurrently transmitting signals to jam selected enemy transmissions. The time division multiplexing alternately enables the communications receiver and a jamming transmitter at a frequency higher than the Nyquist rate of the threat signal being received to effectively continuously receive enemy transmissions while preventing reception of the jamming signals from the associated jammer transmitter. The multiplexing is carried on in a random fashion that prevents the enemy from determining the rate and transmitting during the period that the improved receiver is disabled.

    摘要: An expendable jammer is ejected as a decoy from a target in which the jammer includes a single port, keyed primed oscillator which is primed with the low level signal received at its antenna. The priming signal is injected directly into the tank circuit of the oscillator which is rapidly turned on and off (keyed) to produce a rapidly pulsed signal which tracks the frequency of the priming signal. The resultant signal from the oscillator is transmitted back to the receiving section of the radar initiating the signal in such a manner that the receiver cannot distinguish the individual pulses of returned energy due to the high PRF of the returned signal. Thus the signal from the jammer is detected as a CW signal. The expendable jammer also has a multiple threat capability in which simultaneously arriving signals from different sources result in a jammer output at each of the different frequencies of the incoming signals with sufficient jamming power at each frequency.
