摘要: Optical imaging systems are presented with high performance physical optics in conjunction with advanced image processing technique specifically tuned with respect to those physical optics to realize compact, very high resolution imaging systems. Clever geometric arrangements of lens elements and translation systems to effect motion between those arrangements support very compact storage modes and high performance imaging modes in the same device. As such, these imaging systems disclosed are particularly useful for photography and videography applications where highly portable and compact platforms are in demand. Systems which are small enough to be integrated with a common smartphone computing platform can produce very high resolution images comparable to those of high end digital single lens reflex DSLR systems.

摘要: An opto-mechanical deployable telescope includes a hub, at least one deployable multiple petal primary mirror mounted to the hub, a deployment assembly, a secondary optic assembly, and a deployment engine assembly. The deployment assembly is operable to move the at least one primary mirror between a stowed position and a deployed position. The deployment engine assembly is operable to power the deployment assembly using stored mechanical energy. The deployment assembly includes a kinematic or semi-kinematic interface between the hub and the at least one primary mirror to hold petals of the at least one primary mirror in alignment relative to each other in the deployed position. The secondary optic assembly comprising a secondary optical member and is operable to axially position the secondary optical member relative to the primary mirror.

摘要: Binoculars, having a body made of a cardboard or cardboard-like synthetic resin material, are convertible into a box-like form wherein a pair of objective lenses and a pair of eyepiece lenses are correspondingly positioned for use, and are foldable into a panel-like form along folds thereof when not in use and stored. The binoculars are optionally attachable to a disposable camera and may be place in a folded state while allowing use of the disposable camera.

摘要: AN OPTICAL ATTACHMENT FOR VIEWING THE FOCUSING SCREEN OF A LARGE-SIZE FOCUSING SCREEN CAMERA. THE ATTACHMENT COMPRISES A LIGHT-TIGHT BELLOWS STRUCTURE INCLUDING A PAIR OF SPACED, OPPOSED END FRAMES INTERCONNECTED BY A FLEXIBLE BELLOWS. ONE OF HE FRAMES IS ADAPTED TO BE RELEASABLY ATTACHED TO A FOCUSING SCREEN AND A PLATE HAVING A VIEWING WINDOW THEREIN IS MOUNTED ON THE OTHER FRAME. A BINOCULAR OPTICAL MAGNIFYING SYSTEM IS MOUNTED ON THE PLATE ADJACENT THE VIEWING WINDOW. THE BINOCULAR SYSTEM IS SELECTIVELY SWINGABLE ON THE PLATE BETWEEN AN OPERATIVE VIEWING POSITION IN FRONT OF SAID WINDOW AND AN INOPERATIVE POSITION AWAY FROM THE WINDOW. THE OPTICAL ATTACHMENT INCLUDES AN EXTERNAL LEVER WHICH IS OPERABLY CONNECTED WITH THE BINOCULAR SYSTEM FOR MOVING THE BINOCULAR SYSTEM BETWEEN ITS OPERATIVE AND INOPERATIVE POSITIONS. THE ATTACHMENT ALSO INCLUDES A TUNNEL-SHAPED SHIELD HAVING SPACED, OPPOSED OPEN ENDS. ONE OF THE ENDS OF THE SHIELD BEING RELEASABLY SECURED TO THE PLATE IN SURROUNDING RELATIONSHIP TO THE WINDOW AND THE OTHER END BEING SHAPED TO COMPLEMENTALLY ACCOMODATE THE HEAD OF A PHOTOGRAPHER. THE BELLOWS IS RELATIVELY SELF-SUPPORTING AND LATERALLY AND LONGITUDINALLY FLEXIBLE TO ALLOW BOTH PERPENDICULAR AND PARALLEL MOVEMENT OF THE PLATE AND THE SHIELD RELATIVE TO THE FOCUSING SCREEN.

摘要: The disclosure includes a monopod adapted for a pack or harness. It utilizes a simple mechanism which is lightweight, self-contained and easy to set-up and take down. The user never has to access another piece of equipment, nor assemble or disassemble any parts in use. Indeed, the user can access or store binoculars while on the move. The user can also shift to other fields of view instantly, without having to turn, re-level or adjust the set-up, as would be required with a tripod. The disclosure comprises a scope bracket configured to rotatably attach to a scope mount. A telescoping arm attaches to the scope bracket in a first angle relative to the telescoping arm. A telescoping arm bracket rotatably attaches to the telescoping arm in a second angle relative to the telescoping arm. A back plate supports the telescoping arm bracket against a chest of a user.

摘要: An endoscopic apparatus and method to capture an image of in-vivo tissue with automatic exposure control. For example, the method includes capturing image data on an image sensor and analyzing an indication of brightness of each pixel to determine whether the captured image data is saturated. When the image data is saturated, the method includes reducing the exposure period by a first increment, and repeating the capturing and analyzing steps until the captured image data is not saturated. When the captured image data is not saturated, in some embodiments, the method includes analyzing the indication of brightness of each pixel compared to a threshold indicative of use of a proportion of an available dynamic range of the image sensor, and when it is determined that the threshold has not been reached, increasing the exposure period by a second increment that has a magnitude relative to the first increment.

摘要: The present invention relates to a collapsible virtual reality viewer. Aspects of the viewer include a body portion and a viewing portion, each having a plurality of panels abutting fold lines. The viewer may be folded along the fold lines to move from an expanded configuration to a collapsed configuration when it is not being used. In one aspect, the viewer includes a detachable portion in which a detachable panel is removeably coupled to the viewer along a plurality of perforations. Promotional material may be printed on or attached to the detachable panel. In another embodiment, the viewer is of a unitary construction in which the panels of the body portion and the panels of the viewing portion are die cut from a single piece of material and folded along fold lines to form the viewer.
