    摘要: The camera of this invention has a film cassette compartment, a film spool (13), a film exposing area, and an interlock that prevents moving exposed film from the film cassette. With the camera, a film cassette (2) is loaded into the film cassette compartment. The film is then locaded by moving the film from the film cassette (2) compartment across the film exposing area and winding all but the first frame of film to be exposed around the film spool. After a picture taken, the exposed film is wound back into the film cassette and the next from of film to be exposed is moved into the film exposing area. The interlock prevents moving the exposed film out of the film exposing area. In an embodiment the interlock includes a lever that is engageable with the serrations of a film rewind wheel (22) to prevent movement of the film rewind wheel (22).

    摘要: A superminiature camera, of the type using a conventional 110 film cassette with a first gear for film advance, has an extensible camera body. The camera body includes a rotary side wall, normally releasably fastened to the upper wall and when in use rotatable about its lower side to a horizontal position, including a second gear on the inner surface of the rotary side wall, and a rotary knob integrated with the second gear; an upper wall; a lower wall; an extensible rear wall, slidably engaged with the upper and lower walls, extensible firstly outwardly for entrance into the camera body of the film cassette, subsequently contractible inwardly to clamp the film container and simultaneously to urge the first and second gears to mesh with each other for film advancing; and a viewfinder with a contractible eyepiece and a contractible objective piece. When the superminiature camera is in an idle condition, as the viewfinder and the extensible rear wall are contracted, and the rotary side wall is fastened to the upper wall, the superminiature camera is extremely small in volume.

    摘要: A shutter type flash camera is provided with novel means for synchronously setting the shutter drive thereof as the camera film transport mechanism is set to a next unexposed frame, while a flash cube mounting is simultaneously rotated to a next sequential position. The film transport mechanism includes an external gear rotatably mounted on the camera housing. In mesh therewith is a second gear having external and internal gearing. The mesh between the first and second gears occurs between the external gearing of both. Eccentrically mounted within the second gear is a smaller external third gear which meshes with the internal gearing of the second gear. A crescent shaped space is defined between the second and third gears. As the first gear mounted on the film transport mechanism is rotated counterclockwise, the second and third gears are correspondingly rotated in a clockwise position. Mounted on the underside surface of the second gear are a plurality of cams in relative spaced relationship. The cams cooperate with a centrifugal lever mounted in the camera shuttering mechanism for releasing the camera shutter whereby an exposure occurs. The centrifugal lever is also cooperatively connected to an ignition plunger which is shifted to a second ignition position for igniting the flash cube as the shutter is simultaneously released, the second position being in the crescent shaped space.

    摘要: A film transporting mechanism for use in still cameras wherein a lever or wheel constitutes the input member of a planetary transmission. The sun gear or planet carrier of the transmission is held against rotation by a film scanning device during a first stage of rotation of the input member from its starting position to a fixed end position and while the input member rotates a spur gear or an internal gear by way of one or more planet pinions whereby the spur gear or internal gear rotates the takeup reel in a direction to collect the film. When the transport of film by the length of a frame is completed, the scanning device releases the sun gear or the planet carrier and arrests the spur gear or internal gear to thus terminate the transport of film while the input member continues to rotate toward its fixed end position and drives the sun gear or planet carrier. This enables the input member or a part which derives motion therefrom to perform one or more additional functions, such as the indexing of a multiple flash lamp holder and/or the cocking of a shutter or impeller, subsequent to completion of film transport by the length of a frame. The extent of movement of the input member from its starting to its fixed end position is independent of the angle through which the takeup reel must be rotated in order to advance the film by the length of a frame.

    摘要: A film winding assembly, for use in the film winding mechanism of a photographic camera or other device, comprises essentially three parts which can be molded from plastic material without machining. The parts can be simply and rapidly assembled into a camera film-winding mechanism without separate threaded or other locking elements, and, once assembled, the assembly cannot be disassembled from the exterior of the device. The assembly includes: 1) a manual winding member having first and second resilient latching fingers; 2) a bearing member adapted to be rotatably mounted in a housing wall of the device and having means engaged by the first latching fingers for latching the bearing member to the winding member; and 3) a locking member including means cooperative with the first and second latching fingers of the winding member for latching the locking member to the winding member and for preventing unlatching of the winding member from the bearing member. In the preferred arrangement disclosed, the locking member also includes a clutch element movable between a lowered position for engaging a corresponding clutch element on a film winding spool and a raised position for disengaging the spool clutch element.
