Abstract:
Various embodiments include a camera with a voice coil motor (VCM) actuator assembly to provide autofocus (AF) and/or optical image stabilization (OIS) movement. The VCM actuator assembly is configured to move an image sensor of the camera in three dimensions (e.g. X, Y, and Z) to provide the AF and/or OIS movements. The VCM actuator assembly is asymmetrical and includes an at least partially open side that allows an optical assembly of the camera to pass through the open side of the VCM actuator. In some embodiments, the optical assembly is part of a folded optics arrangement of the camera that includes one or more prisms/and or lenses.
Abstract:
A projector controlling method includes acquiring first imaging information obtained by capturing a first image projected from a projector at a first timing, acquiring second imaging information obtained by capturing a second image projected from the projector at a second timing, evaluating whether or not a change in the posture of the projector satisfies a certain criterion based on the first imaging information and the second imaging information, and outputting information based on the result of the evaluating.

Abstract:
One embodiment of a camera module comprises: a lens part; a front body on which the lens part is mounted; a substrate part which is disposed apart from the lens part in a first direction and coupled to the front body; an image sensor which is disposed on the substrate part and disposed opposite to the lens part; and a first adhesive part which is disposed between the front body and the substrate part, wherein the front body and the substrate part are coupled by the first adhesive part, and at least one through-hole is formed between the front body and the substrate part.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention describe providing image focusing capabilities for a lens unit of an image capture system by disposing a solid state die over the lens unit. The solid state die may include a plurality of electrodes to receive a voltage or electric signal to generate an electric field. The refractive index of the solid state die will change in response to the generated electric field to focus the image or scene captured by the lens unit. The solid state die is mounted to a folded flexible printed circuit board in a housing or a molded housing having electrodes on its inner wall.
Abstract:
An auto-focus camera (100) can include a lens (102), a sensor (108) for detecting an image from the lens, a first liquid crystal layer (104) between the lens and the sensor, and a second liquid crystal layer (106) between the lens and the sensor and further orthogonally aligned to the first liquid crystal layer. The auto-focus camera can further include an integrated circuit programmed to drive the first liquid crystal layer and the second liquid crystal layer. The auto-focus camera can include a controller (202) programmed to control two orthogonally aligned liquid crystal layers. The liquid crystal layers can serve as an optical anti-alias filter using birefringence properties of the liquid crystal layers. The first liquid crystal layer and the second liquid crystal layer can be orthogonally aligned to achieve polarization insensitive operation of the auto-focus camera.
Abstract:
When using unstable processing solutions, high recirculation and/or replenishment rates may be required. However, this may result in non-uniform processing of photographic material in processing apparatus using such solutions. Described herein is apparatus in which agitation members (17) are provided in the processing tank. The members (17) are fixed to a wall (11) of the tank at a location (18). The member (17) has a free end (25) which is positioned to lie against emulsion surface (26) of material (20) being processed (or against inner wall surface (19) if no material (20) is present). As material (20) is moved along path (13).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a tank for the treatment of offset plates by ultrasounds. An elongated rectilinear passageway is limited by a lower wall constituted by a vat with a peripheral flange and by an upper wall constituted by an inverted vat with a peripheral flange, a seal incorporating an elastic lip being tightened between inlet and outlet openings, a bath reservoir being formed in one of the vats to contain an ultra-sound generator, so that the plates to be treated, propelled by pairs of rollers, pass through the developer bath whose volume is minimum, in a straight line.
Abstract:
A system for automatically focusing images of different magnifications to be reproduced onto a light sensitive medium. First and second optical patterns of a wavelength to which the light sensitive medium is not responsive are projected from first and second displaced light pattern producing means to the projection plane of the images to be reproduced and back to the light pattern producing means. The light pattern producing means have transparent portions therein such that when the returned optical patterns are defocused portions of the defocused optical patterns are transmitted through the transparent portions. The transmitted light is then mechanically modulated and then converted to an electrical signal which is amplified, filtered and then demodulated to provide a signal having the polarity needed to drive a servo system such that focus of the images to be reproduced is achieved.
Abstract:
A camera having a housing and lens means defining a focal plane normally cooperating with a film magazine for roll film is provided with a further magazine for sheet film adapted to be detachably secured to the housing in replacement of the roll film magazine. The sheet film in the further magazine is disposed in a film plane parallel to and rearward of the camera focal plane when the further magazine is secured to the housing; and a glass plate is mounted on the further magazine between the sheet film plane and the camera focal plane for effectively displacing the focal plane of the camera rearwardly substantially to the film plane of the sheet film in the further magazine.
