Dynamically enabling and facilitating businesses or other entities to locate and transact with payment systems for the purpose of processing payments. A customer interacts with a supplier of an item (e.g., goods or services), selects an item for purchase, and provides the supplier with payment criteria. The supplier queries a payment system directory to locate candidate payment systems for the transaction. The supplier then interacts directly with one or more of the payment systems to partially or fully process payment for the transaction. Alternatively, the supplier interacts with a gateway service, which queries a payment system directory to locate candidate payment systems and then interacts with one or more of the payment systems to process payment for the transaction.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a computerized CSD-system comprising an instruments register in which the instruments have attributes which define them, the instruments being configured in a hierarchic multi-level structure wherein a first instrument on a first level in the hierarchy is linked to instruments on a second, lower level in the hierarchy, and said link between said instruments on the first and second levels of the hierarchy is defined by all of the attributes which are comprised in the instruments on said second level also being comprised in the instrument on the first level to which the instruments on the second level is linked. An amendment to an attribute in an instrument will cause the same amendment in the same attribute of those instruments which are linked to the amended instruments and which are on lower levels in the hierarchy than the amended instrument. Each instrument is only allowed a link to one instrument above it.
Abstract:
A wireless terminal (10) and an operator network (18) adapted to enable billing a user of the wireless terminal (10) for use of an application (11) hosted by the wireless terminal (10). The application (11) is implemented so as to interface with a business relationship manager (BRM) (12) module also hosted by the terminal (10) via a BRM application programming interface (API) included in the BRM (12), and the BRM (12) ensures that the application (11) is not used by the user unless it is registered with the operator network (18) so that the user is billed for use of the application according to one or another lease/buy plan elected by the user. The BRM (12) also enables registration, de-registration, and even charging for use of network resources by the application (11).
Abstract:
An online marketplace for commerce between multiple buyers and multiple suppliers. The marketplace includes hosted supplier stores opened, managed and maintained by individual registered suppliers. The suppliers upload supplier catalog information to the hosted supplier stores. The marketplace also includes a supplier hub, or general open market, where registered buyers can browse an aggregated catalog made up from an aggregation of the supplier catalogs from the hosted supplier stores. The marketplace administrator may define a catalog topology based upon which the suppliers may structure their own supplier catalogs, thereby easing aggregation of the supplier catalogs into the aggregated catalog. The marketplace also includes trading mechanisms for conducting online ordering, purchasing, requests for quotations, and negotiations. The marketplace also recognizes and enforces contracts between the buyers and the suppliers, whereby a supplier has granted a buyer certain entitlements, in terms of access or pricing, to a buyer in relation to a particular product. The marketplace ensures that the terms and conditions of the contract are enforced in the course of catalog browsing, pricing, and ordering.
Abstract:
Methods and systems assist customers in making purchases for goods and/or services by automating the purchase process while providing the customer the ability to speak the purchasing instructions. The customer may place a voice call into an automated service and verbally request that a purchase of a general nature be made. The verbal request is converted into instruction data. A customer profile is referenced to determine information such as price and brand requirements that govern purchases to be made on behalf of the customer, and a purchase is initiated according to the instruction data and the customer profile. The automated service may, in addition or in the alternative, perform purchase option searches in accordance with the customer profile. The results of the purchase option search are provided to the customer so that the customer may then provide a verbal instruction that a purchase should be made.
