摘要： A microcomputer performs communication in conformity with the CAN standards to capture seating signals detected by seating sensors and seatbelt fastening signals by buckle switches. If determining from the captured seating signals that there is an unoccupied seat, the microcomputer displays a seatbelt state image at the unoccupied seat position in a vehicle image in gray presentation. If determining that there is an occupied and non-fastened seat, the microcomputer displays the seatbelt state image at the non-fastened seat position in the vehicle image in red presentation and displays the seatbelt state image at an occupied and fastened seat position in black presentation.

摘要： A device for mechanically resetting, by means of a simple manipulation, an optional number of status indicators of the type consisting of an electromagnet with an iron core, a magnetizing winding and some form of permanently magnetized indicating disk capable of rotating through 180.degree.. The device comprises a rail made of a non-magnetic material and being formed so as to enable a desired number of indicators to be mounted side-by-side. The rail has such a profile as to enable a shuttle with a corresponding profile to be in engagement with and be guided by and slide on the rail in its longitudinal direction. The shuttle is provided with a permanent magnet as well as with a pole piece mounted so as to form, together with the core in the electromagnet of each indicator, a magnetic circuit when the shuttle is pushed over the respective indicator whereby the rotatable indicating disk is influenced and is reset to indicate the reset position.

摘要： The cover of a ceiling mounted smoke detector is hung at one side by a chain from the detector frame. At the other side the cover has a clip which engages the smoke detector battery. Thus if the battery is not in place the cover hangs down from the chain providing a signal indicative of the absence of the battery. A flag is provided which is pivotally mounted inside the cover and movable on the pivot through an opening in the bottom of the cover. A magnet attached to the flag magnetically engages the diaphragm of the horn alarm in the smoke detector and maintains the flag at a raised position within the cover. When the horn alarm is sounded, the vibration of the diaphragm causes disengagement of the magnet whereupon the flag pivots downwardly to a position at which it extends below the cover. This provides a visual indication that the horn alarm has been sounded.

摘要： A three-position indicating device including an indicator member having localized magnetic poles and rotatably mounted for positioning in any one of three positions by an electromagnetic structure. The electromagnetic structure essentially comprises (1) a movable pole piece which is adapted to lock the indicator member in an intermediate ''''center'''' position or to unlock the indicator member so that it may be moved to either of two limit positions each determined by engagement of said indicator member with said pole piece, and (2) one or two coils for establishing magnetic fields to effect movement of the pole piece to unlock said indicator member and also to effect movement of the indicator member to one or the other of its two limit positions by interaction of said electromagnetic fields with the localized magnetic poles of said indicator member.

摘要： An electromagnetically operated indicator having three parallel rotatably mounted indicating elements which are mounted in sideby-side relationship, which may be independently electromagnetically positioned in each of four equiangularly spaced operating positions and which are marked to collectively indicate each of the sequence of characters of 0 through 9. A viewing window formed to provide convex magnifying lenses for enlarging the viewing angle and for magnifying the forward surface portions of the indicating elements is provided in front of the indicating elements and a pair of rearwardly extending electromagnets is provided for selectively and individually positioning each of the indicating elements in each of its four operating positions. The indicator may be modified to include auxiliary magnetic detents for holding the indicating elements in offset angular positions when the electromagnets are deenergized so as to prevent rotational hangup of the indicating elements when the electromagnetic fields are reversed. Alternative antihangup arrangements include a magnetic shunt between the cores of the electromagnets and means for electrically interconnecting the electromagnets for momentarily energizing the ''''inactive'''' electromagnet or operating the ''''inactive'''' electromagnet at a lower level when the other electromagnet is energized.

摘要： In the disclosed device, a pair of magnets supported in the ends of a C-shaped yoke bias an armature into one of the two rotary positions. A short pulse to a coil about the center of the yoke induces a short term magnetic field that supplements the polarity at one end of the yoke so as to either maintain the armature in its biased position or swing the armature to its other biased position. A subsequent pulse, producing a field in the opposite direction, returns the armature to its first position. In each case, the magnets retain the armature in its biased position even after the pulse stops. The armature pivots between portions of the yoke magnetized by the same magnet.

The term "flag" refers to an electromechanical indicator which displays a human-readable signal which identifies a fault. A fault is a malfunction occurring in the aircraft. The term "nonvolatile" refers to the feature that the signal is not lost when electrical power is terminated to the indicators. In addition, apparatus are provided for displaying the first, and only the first, fault signal received by the indicator, and for the prevention of triggering of the indicator by spurious signals.

摘要： A device for providing a visual indication of data represented by magnetic polarity alignments at each of a plurality of disparate magnetized regions defining a fixed two-dimensional pattern. The device comprises a board containing a plurality of disks positioned in said fixed pattern, which disks are constrained to rotate with their flat surfaces in the plane of the fixed pattern. Each disk comprises magnetized magnetic material having a magnetic polarity alignment parallel to a given flat surface of the disk and a plurality of visible indicia positioned on the given flat surface of the disk in a predetermined order in relation to the polarity alignment. A mask is positioned on the board to cover the disks and contains apertures aligned over a predetermined portion of each disk position for providing a view of whichever ones of the visible indicia on the disks are rotatably aligned with the apertures.
