    摘要: A chanter of a wind instrument is disclosed. The chanter comprises a bulb 106 and a chimney section 102. The bulb 106 or at least a portion thereof is located adjacent and around an external surface or wall 103b of the chimney section 102 of the chanter. At least a portion of the bulb 106 is spaced apart from the chimney section 102 thereby forming or defining a gap around at least a portion of the external surface or wall 103b of the chimney section 102 and at least a portion of an internal surface 104a of the bulb 106 or the upper section 104. Such arrangement allows for free vibrations of the chimney section 102 that is proximal to the chimney reed of the chanter thereby allowing the vibrancy of the sound to be increased.

    摘要: A woodwind instrument ligature comprises a plurality of ligature bodies; each body having first and second ends; an aperture extending through each end; the apertures at each first end being coaxial and the apertures at each second end being coaxial; a first tensioning member located in the apertures of the first ends and a second tensioning member located in the apertures of the second ends; each tensioning member having a transversely extending bore, a fixing member extending through the bores of the tensioning members, the fixing member being adjustable to urge the tensioning members together or apart; wherein the ligature body comprises a flexible material having a length to wrap around a mouthpiece and reed for a musical instrument to form a channel to receive the mouthpiece and reed, with the tensioning members being connected by the fixing member in use; each end having first and second contact surfaces; wherein each end may be rotated about the tensioning member between first and second positions; wherein in the first position, the first contact surface faces inwardly toward the channel and the second contact surface faces outwardly in use and wherein in the second position, the second contact surface faces inwardly and the first contact surface faces outwardly from the channel in use.

    摘要: To provide an electronic wind instrument capable of accurately detecting the amount of rotation of a transmission member. During an electronic wind instrument performance by a performer, external light (such as light from lighting) may easily shine on the upper surface side of an instrument main body. However, the light-receiving section of an optical sensor faces toward the bottom surface side of the instrument main body therefore external light from the upper surface side of the instrument main body can be prevented from reaching the light-receiving section of the optical sensor. As a result, erroneous detection of the external light by the optical sensor can be suppressed therefore the rotation amount of a transmission member can be accurately detected by the optical sensor.
