    摘要: A pole-unit of a gas-blast electrical circuit breaker comprises a tranverse partition made of injected insulating plastic material which at the same time performs guiding of the movable contact which passes through it. The injected material part bears an O-ring ensuring tightness with the casing and a one-way check valve of gas flow orifices arranged in the transverse partition. The gas-blast piston securedly united to the movable contact is also made of injected material and it comprises housing and clipping means of the puffer nozzle securedly fixed to the piston. A scraper seal in the form of a split segment is housed in a circumferential groove arranged in the injected part of the piston. The electrical connection between the movable contact rod and a flexible current supply insert is achieved by a braided strip extending in the form of a half-loop in a transverse plane to the pole-unit.

    摘要: An electrical switch of the type which utilizes a pressurized gas such as SF6 working in a closed system for blasting the switch contacts with the gas in order to facilitate extinction of the arc includes high and low pressure gas tanks, the gas being stored in the high pressure tank and being delivered through a gas blast valve to a housing enclosing the switch contacts and which is located in the low-pressure tank. The gas after blasting the switch contacts flows from the switch contact housing into the low pressure tank. To facilitate servicing of the gas blast valve without loss of gas from either the high or low pressure tanks, the interior of the blast valve including the movable parts and seals is made accessible from the exterior of the tanks and provision is made for sealing off the two tanks from the interior of the blast valve.

    摘要: A gas blast circuit breaker comprising at least two cooperating movable contacts, of which each one is attached to a piston adapted to be driven by the extinguishing gas, the stroke of one contact and its piston being smaller than that of the other contact and its piston, the piston having the smallest stroke being used to start the opening operation of the circuit breaker and to open a valve, the opening of said valve allowing extinguishing gas to escape and to extinguish the switching arc and effecting the exposure of the piston having the greater stroke to the pressure of the extinguishing gas, and means for automatically effecting a delayed reclosing operation of the circuit breaker.
