The clothes treatment apparatus includes a drum configured to accommodate clothes, an inputter configured to receive one of a plurality of programs and configured to receive a start command, a storage configured to store information on a setting time corresponding to a weight of clothes for each program and configured to store information on a default time for each program previously executed, in the form of tables, a processor configured to detect a weight of clothes when any one program is received and a start command is received, configured to identify a setting time corresponding to the detected weight of clothes and the received program, configured to control the execution of the received program based on the identified setting time, and configured to store an operation time, which is taken until the completion of the received program, as a default time, and a display configured to display a remaining time during the execution of the received program.

摘要： The hub of a camstack is in the shape of a cone. There are ribs carried on the cone surface with the ribs having cam surfaces that are substantially parallel to the cone surface. The camstack is particularly adaptable for actuating a plurality of individual switches in a direction at an angle to the central axis and to the lines normal to the central axis. The individual switches are carried by a single common support member. The camstack permits the building of less expensive, smaller and more reliable appliance timers.

摘要： A timer switch comprises a cam member of a generally disc shape having a cam surface at its periphery. The cam surface is stepped to provide a depressed portion and a shoulder portion adjacent thereto. The cam surface has a notch formed in the shoulder portion and opening to one side of the cam member. The cam member is operatively connected to a motor for rotation. A shaft is mounted on a casing for rotation about and displacement along the axis thereof. The cam member is fixedly mounted on the shaft for rotation therewith. An electrical switching means comprises a pair of first and second contact plates of a resilient material. The first contact plate is biased into sliding engagement with the cam surface. The second contact plate is biased normally into engagement with the first contact plate for energizing the motor to rotate the cam member. Upon depression of the first contact plate into the depressed portion the second contact plate engages the shoulder portion to de-energize the motor. Upon axial displacement of the shaft, the second contact plate is moved into the depressed portion through the notch so that the second contact plate is again biased into engagement with the first contact plate to reset the timer switch.

摘要： An electric timer includes a rotatably mounted operating member which is movable from a datum position to any one of a plurality of angular positions which correspond to periods of time for which it is desired to set the time period. The operating member is urged to rotate in the direction towards the datum position when it is set to a desired angular position. A rotatably mounted toothed member is driven by the operating member when the operating member is urged back towards the datum position. A pivotable escapement member engages with the teeth of the toothed member, and an electro-magnet controls the pivoting of the escapement member and thereby the rotation of the toothed member and operating member. The electro-magnet comprises a permanent magnet for exerting a magnetic force to normally attract the escapement member, and a winding receptive of reference pulses to reduce the magnetic force exerted by the permanent magnet so as to permit the pivoting of the escapement member.

摘要： An adjustable dwell cyclic timing device. An element having a timing surface with a radius or other measurement varying from a minimum value to a maximum value and back to a minimum value, and preferably having generally a heart shape when the element is in the form of a disc, is rotated in synchronism with a timing cycle. A sensor is positioned to sense the presence and absence of the timing surface in a region between the minimum and maximum radii or other measurements only when the element is rotated through a predetermined angular segment for generating a cyclic timing signal during a preselected time segment in each cycle. The sensor position is adjustable for changing the preselected segment of the timing signal in each cycle to provide a desired starting point and dwell for the generated timing signal. A plurality of sensors may be positioned adjacent the path of the rotating timing element for generating a plurality of different cyclic timing signals during different preselected time segments in each cycle.

摘要： A timing device controls a group of electric heaters, turning them on in sequence in response to call for heat by a thermostat and turning them off in sequence when the call for heat is satisfied. The timer has two stopping points, one with the heaters off and the other with the heaters on. A single switch controls the timer motor and is opened by a timer can at the off and on positions. The switch is held open at the off position by an off latch and at the on position by an on latch. These latches are released by a solenoid controlled by the room thermostat. The latches are also controlled by a timer cam, the off latch being held released when the timer is in the on position, and the on latch being held out at the off position. The load switches for the heaters are also opened instantly by a second solenoid responding to an unfavorable condition. This same action releases the on latch to cause the timer to return to the off position.
