    Abstract: An arc extinction apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a chamber unit, a division unit, a filter unit, and a cover unit. A discharge port is formed in the chamber unit such that a fluid in the chamber unit is discharged to the outside. An insertion groove is provided on inner faces of the chamber unit that face each other. The division unit is coupled to the inside of the chamber unit. In addition, the division unit divides a path of the fluid discharged through the discharge port into multiple paths. The filter unit is disposed in the discharge port and filters out at least one predetermined material from the fluid passing through the discharge port. The cover unit comprises a plurality of exhaust pipes and is coupled to the discharge port from the outside of the filter unit.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for tripping open circuit interrupters based on the detection of an arc flash using an accessory arc flash detection module are disclosed. The housing of the arc flash detection module is structured to be installed within the frame of a circuit interrupter. The detection module communicates with light sensors structured to detect light from arc flash events, and includes a controller configured to communicate with an electronic trip unit of the circuit interrupter. In one embodiment, the detection module is configured to alert the electronic trip unit that light indicative of arc flash conditions has been detected such that the electronic trip unit can determine whether or not to initiate a trip after determining the magnitude of current flowing through the circuit interrupter. In another embodiment, the detection module is configured to directly actuate a trip of the circuit interrupter based on the detection of light.

    Abstract: A direct current contactor includes a case and two groups of contact components disposed in the case. Each group of contact components includes two moving contacts connected to each other and two fixed contacts. The direct current contactor further includes a drive system configured to drive the moving contacts to move in a direction close to or away from the fixed contacts, so that the moving contacts are connected to or disconnected from the fixed contacts. The case has an arc-extinguishing cavity. A first baffle in the arc-extinguishing cavity divides the arc-extinguishing cavity into a first arc-extinguishing chamber and a second arc-extinguishing chamber. The contact components are respectively located in the first arc-extinguishing chamber and the second arc-extinguishing chamber. In other words, the two groups of contact components are integrated into two arc-extinguishing chambers of one arc-extinguishing cavity and perform connection/disconnection drive by using a single drive system.

    Abstract: Provided is an arc suppression device including one or more current-limiting circuits provided in parallel with a circuit breaker that switches between feeding and shutoff of power from a power supply. The current-limiting circuit shuts off a current from the power supply when the power from the power supply is fed to a load through a circuit breaker. The current from the power supply is shut off when a voltage generated by a potential difference between contacts of the circuit breaker becomes a predetermined voltage or higher in a case where feeding of the power from the power supply to the load is shut off by the circuit breaker. The potential difference is generated upon shutoff.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses an opposite arc isolation device of a high voltage direct current relay, including a movable contact assembly and a fixed contact assembly, wherein the movable contact assembly includes a movable spring plate and a left movable contact and a right movable contact fixed at left and right ends of the movable spring plate; the fixed contact assembly includes a left fixed contact corresponding to the left movable contact and a right fixed contact corresponding to the right movable contact; an arc isolation member made of insulating material is provided between the left movable contact and the right fixed contact; the front-to-rear dimension L of the arc isolation member is greater than the front-to-rear width M of a joint surface of the movable contacts with the fixed contacts; and, the arc isolation member has a height H that enables the isolation of opposite arcs between the two sets of movable and fixed contacts.
