摘要: An energy recovery assembly, fuel cell system and vehicle, with an electrolyzer configured to provide a fuel and an oxidant, a fuel cell configured to convert the fuel and an oxidant to electrical energy, a tank configured to store the fuel or the oxidant, and a conduction pathway connecting the tank to the electrolyzer and the fuel cell. The assembly also includes: an expansion machine disposed in the conduction pathway and configured to expand a fluid flowing through the expansion machine and to obtain mechanical energy; and a valve arrangement configured to put the pathway in a first mode in which the fuel or the oxidant is guided to the tank, or in a second mode in which the fuel cell or the oxidant is guided to the fuel cell, wherein the fuel or the oxidant in the first and second modes flows through the expansion machine.

摘要: A turbine section of a turbomachine includes a housing that houses and supports the rotating group for rotation about an axis. The housing defines a circumferential inlet passage that extends about the axis. The housing defines a turbine wheel upstream area that is disposed downstream of the circumferential inlet passage and upstream of the turbine wheel. The housing defines an outlet that is downstream of the turbine wheel. Furthermore, the turbine section includes a first flow path that extends from the circumferential inlet passage, through the turbine wheel upstream area, across the turbine wheel, to the outlet. Moreover, the turbine section includes a recirculation flow path that extends from the circumferential inlet passage, through the turbine wheel upstream area, and back to the circumferential inlet passage.

摘要: An energy storage system includes: a reformer configured to receive natural gas and steam and to output reformed natural gas; a combustion turbine configured to output heated sweep gas; and a molten carbonate electrolyzer cell (“MCEC”) including: an MCEC anode, and an MCEC cathode configured to receive the heated sweep gas from the combustion turbine. The energy storage system is configured such that: when no excess power is available, the combustion turbine receives the reformed natural gas from the reformer, and when excess power is available, the MCEC operates in a hydrogen-generation mode in which the MCEC anode receives the reformed natural gas from the reformer, and outputs MCEC anode exhaust that contains hydrogen.

摘要: A method for jump-starting a hydrogen fuel cell-powered aircraft is disclosed. The method accesses a fuel cell stack containing latent oxygen therein. Accesses a hydrogen fuel source and provides hydrogen from the hydrogen fuel source into the fuel cell stack causing the hydrogen to mix with the latent oxygen in the fuel cell stack and generate a voltage. The voltage is then provided to a component of the hydrogen fuel cell-powered aircraft such that additional oxygen is introduced to the fuel stack.

The structure may include a first structure and a second structure which are different in composition, the first structure may include components derived from MTiO3 in larger amounts than the second structure, the second structure may include a metal element contained in the metal oxide in a larger amount than the first structure, and the area ratio of the second structure in the structure may be not less than 1% and not more than 50%.
