摘要: The invention concerns an arrangement for an antenna (A) having the general shape of a loop, directly in the proximity of at least a metallic element (10). The invention is characterised in that each metallic element (10) comprises an orifice (18) arranged substantially opposite the surface defined by the antenna (A), and a slot (16) forming a gap width, arranged through the thickness of the metallic element (10), between the internal edge (21) delimiting the orifice (18) and the external edge (20) of said metallic element (10). The invention is applicable to scanners and radio frequency communication devices.

摘要: A wireless LAN antenna comprises a dielectric substrate having a first surface and a second surface. The first surface of the dielectric substrate has a rectangular loop. A rectangular grounding copper foil is adhered within the rectangular loop. A signal feeding copper foil is further included. One end of the signal feeding copper foil is connected to the rectangular loop and the grounding copper foil, while another end of the signal feeding copper foil running across another end of the rectangular loop. Moreover, a layer of back surface copper foil is plated to the back side of the printed circuit board. This back surface copper foil covers one half of the loop on the front surface. Adjustment of the transversal dimensions of the grounding copper foil will impedance-match the antenna to the feeding structure of the antenna.

摘要: An antenna for transferring electromagnetic energy includes: (a) a ground element in a ground plane; (b) a transceiver element in a transceiver plane that intersects the ground element at a first end in a joint having a first terminus and a second terminus; and (c) a feed structure that conveys the electromagnetic energy intermediate the transceiver and the host device. A first transceiver edge departs from the joint in a first path in a first direction. A second transceiver edge departs from the joint in a second path in the first direction. Each edge includes at least a first edge sector having a first radius and a second edge sector having a second radius. The radii define a separation between the edge sectors. The first and second edge terminate in a terminal structure at a second end that is spaced from the ground element to establish a gap.

摘要: A radio-frequency identification (RFID) transponder (tag) in accordance with the principles of the invention includes a hollowed monopole antenna. The hollowed monopole antenna is co-located on a substrate with RFID circuitry and a quarter wave transformer. The quarter wave transformer acts as a reference for the RFID circuitry. The monopole antenna may have a trapezoidal shape, such as triangular or rectangular, that increases the effective electrical length of the antenna without increasing its overall surface area.

摘要: A loop antenna device has a first antenna generating a first magnetic field and a second antenna generating a second magnetic field such that the first magnetic field and the second magnetic field each have a different axis. A series resonant circuit and a parallel resonant circuit are provided for the first antenna and the second antenna, respectively. The series resonant circuit has at least a second coil, a link coil wound around a ferrite core, and a capacitor in series. The parallel resonant circuit has a first coil and a capacitor. When one of the first and second antennas are disposed in the vicinity of a conductor, an electromagnetic wave absorbing member is disposed between a conductor and one of the first and second antennas.

摘要: A system for implanting a wire antenna in a contactless smart card includes an ultrasonic implanting head with a voice-coil actuator to control the pressure at which a heated wire is forced into a plastic card substrate. The force produced by the actuator is proportional to the current in a coil winding in the actuator. A controller uses a feedback system to maintain a relatively constant applied pressure. The feedback system monitors the current in the coil and the controller issues electronic signals to increase or decrease the current in the coil in response to the monitored current.

摘要: An antenna system includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion and the second portion form an antenna loop. The first portion may be etched on a printed circuit board. The second portion may be coupled with the first portion or extend from the first portion. The first portion and the second portion each may have one or more turns. Further, the second portion of the antenna loop resides in a three-dimensional geometric space that is different from the first portion of the antenna loop. The antenna system is particularly well suited for electronic devices having a confined internal space, for example, a cordless pointing device, a cordless gaining device, or a cordless camera device. A method for designing an antenna system is also disclosed.
