    摘要: A detachable power supply apparatus for use with electrical appliances including removable temperature control devices includes a mounting panel on the temperature control device to which an electrical connector on a power supply cord is magnetically and electrically coupled. The mounting panel includes a ferrous contact plate attached to an outer surface thereof between a pair of conductive pins. The power supply cord includes a female electrical receptacle with a magnet subassembly attached at or near an outer surface thereof. The receptacle may be removably coupled to the mounting panel by positioning the receptacle outer surface adjacent the mounting panel contact plate. The magnet subassembly is designed to allow the receptacle to withstand a preselected tensile or pulling force and a preselected shearing or lateral force.

    摘要: A filtered electrical connector with adjustable performance using combined multi-aperture ferrite cores is disclosed. More particularly, the filtered electrical connector includes a connector housing made of an electrically insulating material, at least two terminals each having a cable contact area for conductively attaching cables for conducting a signal to be filtered and a contacting portion for making contact with a corresponding contacting portion in a complementary mating connector. The filtered electrical connector further includes a filter assembly which in turn includes an electrical conductor for conducting an electrical signal to be filtered and at least two ferrite bodies. Each of the ferrite bodies includes at least two passages therein with the electrical conductor passing through the passages. The respective ends of the electrical connector are connected in series between one of the cable contact areas and an associated contacting portion.

    摘要: Disclosed is a modular jack system that utilizes magnetic attraction to draw a plug 16 into a jack 18 and then maintain it therein. The modular jack system utilizes plug 16 and jack 18 having at least one pair of cooperating magnets 30, 32 polarized so that the magnets on the plug 16 are drawn to the magnets on the jack 18 thereby pulling the plug 16 into the proper connected position and maintaining it therein. Installation of the plug 16 into the jack 18 is simplified because the magnets will guide the plug 16 into the jack 18 once in the proximity thereof The system could also be adapted for use with other similar applications such as coaxial cable 44 connections to replace the threaded and slip-on types of connections known in the prior art.

    摘要: A safety connector for a table-top household electrical appliance, formed by a socket member (3) mounted in the appliance and a plug member (2) complementary to the socket member (3), and having magnets that allow a plugged-in position to be maintained and separation of both parts under an abnormal strain exerted on the plug member. The socket member (3) comprises pins (14) and a grounding arrangement (20), with a magnet arrangement (15) and two active armatures (16) between them. The plug member (2) comprises two flexible electrical contacts (7), spatially mating with the pins (14). An iron plate member (11) as passive armature is located between the electrical contacts (7) and when making connection, it faces the active armatures (16) of the magnet (15) and makes contact with the ground (20).

    摘要: An electromechanical connecting device can be connected to a switching device provided with switching magnets, arranged on a working carriage and connectable to a current source by means of current supply contacts, and can also be connected to a triggering device provided with triggering magnets and electrically connectable to a consumer. These switching magnets can be moved from a rest position to a working position against a restoring force, establishing a contact among pairs of contacts and thus an electric connection between the means of a special coding together with the triggering magnets arranged in the triggering device to generate particular magnetic fields for the switching process. In the switching device, at least one safety part designed as a safety magnet or ferromagnetic material can be moved in the direction of the triggering device from a rest position into a live position by a matching magnet or ferromagnetic part arranged in the triggering device, so that when the safety part returns to its rest position it causes a intentional short-circuit between the poles of the pair of contracts of the switching divide even when the triggering device is removed, whereas the working carriage remains in the live state.
