Abstract:
A method for deep-frying foods in which the foods to be deep-fried are delivered to hot oil or fat and transported out of the hot oil after a predetermined residence time, wherein a steam zone with superheated steam is generated above a free surface of the oil, which shields the oil from the ambient air, and from which a flow of steam corresponding to an amount of water evaporating from the deep-fried foods is withdrawn.
Abstract:
The device for climbing a pair of ropes (1) includes upper and lower clasps (4,6) for clamping each rope and connecting elements for holding a climber, which include a movable or solid seat (7, 12) or harness (23). Each clasp (4,6) has a housing (21); a yoke (3) in the housing (21) provided with an interior space having beveled inclines widening downward; cotters (10) positioned on opposite sides of the rope (1) in the interior space; rollers (11) arranged movably, but securably, between the cotters (10) and the beveled inclines; a compression spring (20) bearing on an upper end of the yoke (3); and a resilient time servo-component (9) arranged at a lower end of the yoke. The resilient time servo-component (9) acts on the yoke so that the clasp (4,6), when relieved, automatically clamps the rope after a predetermined time interval, thus protecting the climber.
Abstract:
Lumpy product or chunk, which is suitable for admixing to or as the sole constituent of animal food compositions and which contains proteins, one or more water-binding components, water and salt, in which it co mprises at least one phase, where the proteins as a result of a suitable denaturing stage form a high strength able to withstand processes such as sterilization and storage for several years without significant strength losses.
Abstract:
In a toggle bar link (100) for conveyor pans of conveyors or guideway pans of extraction machine guideways, with toggle bar sockets (1) arranged at the sides of the pans in whose socket cut-outs (3) a toggle bar can be inserted and retained by securing elements (4), both the toggle bar (2) and the securing elements (4) as well as the toggle bar sockets (1) are constructed intrinsically symmetrically and the toggle bar sockets (1) are arranged symmetrical to a plane of symmetry (S) running through the joint between the pans. Owing to the symmetrical construction of the individual parts they can not only be produced simply but also no orientation problems are posed in the assembly of the individual parts.
Abstract:
A conveyor chute for chain scraper conveyors, in particular stope conveyors, having a bottom aperture provided in the conveyor bottom forming an inspection or repair aperture and closed by way of a closure panel during the conveying operation. The closure panel is guided in slot-shaped apertures of the two side profiles of the conveyor chute by way of their opposite panel edges and secured against displacement by a locking device. The two side profiles of the conveyor chute are each formed of two profile strips in superimposed array which are not interconnected to the conveyor bottom in the region of the bottom aperture. The two side profiles form the slot-shaped apertures in which the locking of the closure panel in the closed position takes place only on one of the two side profiles.
Abstract:
An apparatus for producing a connection between an electric or electronic appliance and a cable is described and which includes magnetic elements which produce both a holding force, and at the same time, provide approximate guidance, and exact centering so as to reliably avoid electric shorts and insure correct contact-making, between the electric or electronic appliance and the cable.
Abstract:
An extrusion and conditioning apparatus, with an extruder in a conveying position, leads into a conveyor housing connected in a sealed manner to a pneumatic supply line and to a pneumatic conveyor line in which extruded material can be removed pneumatically, by means of superheated steam, via the conveyor line. The extruder can be moved from the conveying position into a bypass position, in which the extruder leads to the exterior of the conveyor housing, having a means for sealing the supply and conveyor lines and the conveyor housing from the surroundings when the extruder is in the conveying and bypass positions.

Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a protein-containing food product by means of heat-treating a protein and water-containing carrier material suitable for pumping in a turboreactor which has a cylindrical reaction chamber with a rotor equipped with blades in order to centrifuge the carrier material in the form of a dynamic, turbulent layer against an inner wall of said reaction chamber, heat-treating, drying to AW less than 0.6 and granulating the carrier material, advancing the carrier material in the direction of an outlet from the turboreactor, and forming individual food products from the carrier material; a protein-containing food product made by press molding of a carrier material that has been granulated and dried to an AW value of less than 0.6 and that is microbiologically stable, the carrier material being free of gelantized starch.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a food product that includes the steps of: delivering a protein and water-containing carrier material to a turboreactor which has a cylindrical reaction chamber with a substantially horizontal longitudinal axis and with a rotor equipped with blades and rotatable about its longitudinal axis provided in the reaction chamber. The rotor is rotated at a speed sufficient to centrifuge the carrier material against an inner wall of the reaction chamber and to form a dynamic, turbulent layer at the inner wall. The carrier material is heat treated and dried in the reaction chamber and is then advanced in the direction of an outlet from the turboreactor. The heat-treated and dried carrier material as a food product is withdrawn from the outlet, wherein an atmosphere of superheated steam is generated in the reaction chamber.
