摘要: A voltage regulator has an output circuit for producing from an input voltage a predetermined output voltage to be supplied to a load, an overcurrent protection circuit for preventing overcurrent in the output circuit, a memory for storing control information fed from outside, and an adjustment circuit for adjusting the level at which the overcurrent protection circuit detects overcurrent according to the control information read from the memory. With this configuration, it is possible to accurately detect overcurrent by canceling factors such as individual variations in the characteristics of the circuit components, the influence of stress occurring when the regulator IC is packaged, and fabrication-associated variations in the load.

摘要: A power limiting circuit for power supply that is controlled by a power supply control module includes a shunt regulator having a reference input operatively connected to a voltage input that receives a voltage representative of the power supply control module connected thereto. The shunt regulator is biased on when the voltage at the reference input increases above a reference voltage established at the voltage input. A transistor is operatively connected to the shunt regulator and to an output operatively connected to the power supply control module and has a voltage that is representative of voltage operating the power supply control module. The transistor is biased on from the shunt regulator such that the shunt regulator and transistor form a latch when the voltage at the output reduces below an off voltage level to turn off the power supply, dropping the input voltage, and restarting the power supply in a restart cycle.

摘要: A DC switchgear is provided with a commutation-type DC circuit breaker having a main circuit provided with a main switch for interconnecting a DC power supply and a load, and a commutating circuit provided with a commutating capacitor and a commutating switch, which is connected electrically parallel to the main switch. The switchgear further has a DC circuit breaker accommodating box that includes the main circuit provided with the main switch, and the commutation-type DC circuit breaker; a front accommodating box disposed on the front of the DC circuit breaker accommodating box, which accommodates devices having functions for controlling the switchgear and indicating a status, such as a failure status thereof; and a rear accommodating box disposed on the back of the DC circuit breaker accommodating box. The front and rear accommodating boxes are connected to the DC circuit breaker accommodating box to form an integrated DC switchgear.
