    摘要: At a starting of a motor which receives an electric power from a generator driven by an engine, an excitation current controller controls an excitation current so as to cause an output frequency of a generator to approach a predetermined frequency which is lower than a rated frequency when an output voltage detected by an output voltage detector is reduced to lower than a first predetermined voltage. Thereafter, the excitation current controller controls the excitation current so as to cause the output voltage of the generator to be the rated voltage when the output voltage detector detects a second predetermined voltage which is higher than the first predetermined voltage. In this way, the load capacity which enables the starting by the engine-driven generator without directly controlling the engine is improved.

    摘要: A starting system and method for a gas turbine engine includes a controlled starter system and a controlled fuel system. The controlled starter motor is accelerated along an acceleration profile to a dwelling point. Concurrently with the starter motor spinning up the gas turbine engine rotor, the fuel system controller commands the pump motor to drive the fuel pump at a speed which fills the fuel line volumes and establishes adequate pressure for fuel atomization at light off. As the fuel pump motor and starter motor are independently controlled and coordinated the starter motor maintains the gas turbine engine at the predetermined dwelling point until ignition occurs. The starter motor also provides a controlled amount of assisting torque during acceleration of the gas turbine to minimize thermal transients which thereby increased the gas turbine engine operational life.

    摘要: A control system for an electric motor having an integral flywheel rotor. The motor includes a stator mounted co-axially with the engine crankshaft and a rotor surrounding the stator. A sensor is positioned near the rotor for sensing its rotational speed. The sensor is coupled to a controller. The controller is operable to deliver an output signal to the stator to start the internal combustion engine. While the engine is starting, the processor steps the starter motor from a low speed to a high speed. Once the engine has started and is rotating at a speed greater than a trigger speed, the processor delivers another output signal such that the motor is commutated at a speed that is less than the speed of the rotor to generate a speed slip. By commutating the motor in this manner, it acts as a generator. The speed slip is regulated when the motor is generating electric power so that the motor produces a constant output voltage.

    摘要: A transmission voltage of a power transmission system in a transmission voltage control depends on a product of a voltage drooping factor and a difference between a reactive current of a synchronous generator and a reference value. The voltage drooping factor depends on a gain and a voltage-up ratio of a transformer arranged between the power transmission system and the synchronous generator. The voltage-up ratio changes with a tap position of the transformer. The tap position of the transformer is always detected to update the voltage-up ratio, the gain is determined according to the updated voltage-up ratio to maintain the voltage drooping factor at a constant value, and the transmission voltage is regulated by using the gain. Therefore, even though the tap position of the transformer is changed, the voltage drooping factor is maintained at a constant value, and the stability of the transmission voltage of the power transmission system is maintained.
