摘要： An improved fishing lure is disclosed that includes an integrated hook harness to which one or more hooks may be movably secured. The hooks are maintained in a neutral state by a retention mechanism provided in the harness that may be released when a fish strikes the lures, allowing the hook to move freely relative to the hook harness and lure body. Because the hook is able to move relative to the hook harness and lure body, the weight of the hook harness and lure body do not act directly on the hook and the likelihood of the fish kicking free is substantially decreased.

The weed guard may include an elongated element, such as a plastic or metal filament. The weed guard may include a bait retention feature, such as a hook, a barb, or a helix. The weed guard may resist flexion or rotation into an area defined by the hook, such that the combination of the weed guard and bait placed upon it may obstruct weeds from getting caught on the hook, while allowing a predator with sufficient force to become caught on the hook.

The integral retainer is a harder and tougher material than the plastic used in the body of the fishing lure and is configured to seat over the jig-head barb to prevent the flexible plastic fishing lure from sliding down along the jig-head. 摘要： A fishing jig is disclosed. The fishing jig includes a semitransparent skirt having a generally tubular body that extends between a closed head end and a tail end that includes an opening. A channel is formed within the tubular body and extends from the opening toward the head end. The fishing jig also includes a jig head positioned within the channel of the skirt and at least partially visible through the skirt. The jig head may include a body having a first side and a second side, an eye positioned on each of the first side and the second side, the eyes being visible through the skirt, and a hook that extends from the body and through the opening in the skirt. The fishing jig may mimic the look and motion of bait fish.
