Abstract:
The insect repelling recycled fire log is a manufactured fuel product that is configured for use as a fuel in a recreational combustion activity such as a bonfire or a campfire. The insect repelling recycled fire log releases an insect repellent that encourages insects to move away from the immediate areas surrounding the recreational combustion activity area during the said activities. The natural insect repellent is an airborne repellent that is released by the combustion of the insect repelling recycled fire log. The insect repelling recycled fire log comprises a fuel, an accelerant, and an ignition apparatus.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a substance emitting product comprising a combustible structural element incorporated with a pesticide and/or fragrance wherein the combustible structural element is a coil shaped cardboard strip characterized in that the combustible structural element is a made from palm fibres. The palm fibres are obtained from oil palm empty fruit bunches and/or oil palm mesocarp. The combustible structural element is made from up to 90-99.5 wt % of the palm fibres with other minor ingredients, selected from the group comprising fillers, combustion regulators, dyes and fungicide or a mixture thereof, making up the balance. The combustible structural element has a density ranging from 400-1000 kgm−3, preferably ranging from 600-750 kgm−3.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a smoke composition comprising between 0.05 and 5% of one or more active ingredients, for an effective dose of active ingredient(s) of between 0.5 mg/m3 and 40 mg/m3, and a smoke base. According to the invention, the aforementioned smoke base comprises at least one oxidising agent, one reducing agent and one mineral filler. The mineral filler represents at least 25% of the weight of the base while the reducing agent represents at most 16% of the weight thereof, and the weight ratio of oxidising agent to reducing agent is at least 3/1.
Abstract:
A candle is provided for delivery of an active ingredient comprising a multiphase construction of a continuous first matrix and a second matrix dispersed therein. The first matrix comprises a thermoplastic material, and the second matrix comprises a thermoplastic material which additionally comprises an active ingredient. The second matrix is a discrete phase of small bodies having size in longest dimension between about 0.05 microns to about 5 mm. The material of the second matrix is selected such that the Rate of Release of the second matrix containing the active ingredient is substantially the same as the Rate of Release of the first matrix and the Tested Physical Property of the multiphase construction is at least about 10% higher than the Tested Physical Property of a homogeneous combination of equivalent amounts of the first matrix material, the second matrix material and the active agent in at least one the tests selected from the group consisting of the Shear Strength Test, Active Migration Test, the Tensile Modulus Test or the Flexural Modulus Test.

Abstract:
A method of repelling Musca domestica L. (Diptera Muscidae) or Aedes aegyptae for a finite period of time from a three-dimensional space inhabitable by Musca domestica L. (Diptera Muscidae) or Aedes aegyptae consisting essentially of the step of exposing a three-dimensional space to an effective Musca domestica L. (Diptera Muscidae) or Aedes aegyptae - repelling concentration and quantity of a cyclopentanone derivative composition of matter selected from the group of the mixtures:(i) methyl jasmonate,(ii) HEDIONE.RTM., and(iii) KHARISMAL.TM..
Abstract:
A controlled portable combustion composition, comprising a carrier, where the carrier functions as a binder and as a fuel for combustion, an oxidizer, and, an auxiliary agent, where the auxiliary agent is a transitional substance and a flame retardant which renders the composition flameless; and where substantially all of the carrier, the oxidizer, and the auxiliary agent are converted to smoke at the end of said combustion.
