摘要： An apparatus for slaughtering fishes, killing the fish by taking it from the operculum and positioning in a stunning position and cutting the gills only, without causing any visible damage to the exterior, comprising: transverse positioning means that receives the fish, holding by the sides and keeping in the center thereof to be positioned in an initial working position; longitudinal positioning means, allowing the longitudinal displacement of the fish and stopping its movement when it is in the initial working position; gripping means for taking the fish from the initial working position, holding it from the operculum and placing it in a stunning position, also allowing the opening of the operculum to expose the gills in a cutting position; stunning means for stunning the fish in the stunning position; cutting means for cutting in the gills of stunned fish; and releasing means allowing the release of the slaughtered fish.

摘要： Systems and methods for suspending game animals. One embodiment is a system that includes a hitch fitting, a boom, a first winch and a stabilizer. The hitch fitting is configured to fit within a hitch receiver of a vehicle. The boom is coupled to the hitch fitting and extends upward from the hitch fitting. The first winch is coupled to an upper end of the boom and is configured to raise and suspend a game animal from the upper end of the boom. The stabilizer is coupled to the lower end of the boom and is configured to stabilize a lower end of the game animal which is suspended from the upper end of the boom.

The left and right hook bars are elongated flat bars each of which has a hook pivot bore a pivot end, and a hook end. A pivot bolt passes through the left hook bar, through the center bar and through the right hook bar. A pivot bolt nut holds the center bar between the left and right hook bars. A stop bolt passes through the stop pin bore between the hook pivot pin bore and the center bar lower end. The left hook bar rests on the stop bolt and the right hook bar rests on the stop bolt nut when the hook bars are in a carcass support position.

It will automatically adjust to the size and weight of the slaughtered animal. The gambrel has, at most, two pivot points, which enhances the overall strength of the apparatus. It has a weight-bearing lower cross member which operates to distribute the weight of the slaughtered animal across the entire gambrel and provides for additional strength. The gambrel's hooked mounting mechanism also adds versatility in field dressing the animal.

摘要： Method and apparatus for unloading poultry as disclosed. A chute (35) is placed proximate the door of a coop. The door is opened and the poultry are urged out of the coop onto the chute (35). The poultry then slide down the chute (35) onto a conveyor (11), (15) which ultimately transfers the poultry to a gas stun vessel (25). The poultry are then transferred to a shackle line where they are shackled, without a full lift, and then proceed to an electrical stun (72) and killer (73). The gas stun vessel (25) includes a static mixer (53) for effectively mixing the CO.sub.2 and air before delivery to the gas stun vessel (25).

摘要： A device (10) is disclosed for conveying cattle (12, 14, 16) along a path to a treatment position (18) by a conveyor assembly (20). The conveyor assembly (20) includes a conveyor belt (26) which supports the animal above the ground at its brisket so that the animal cannot move independently along the conveyor assembly. Air bags (50, 54) or other structure are used to hold the legs of the animal in a gentle confining manner as the animal is conveyed along the conveyor belt. A head gate (48) is mounted at the treatment position to hold the head of the animal. The entire device can be surrounded by a housing (60) which provides a darkened tunnel to calm the animal and encourage the animal to move to the treatment position.
