    摘要: A handle system for supporting a tool defining a tool axis during the performance of dental procedures comprises a handle defining a handle axis, a rotation sleeve, a head assembly and a gear set comprising first and second gear portions. The rotation sleeve supports the first gear portion. The head assembly supports the second gear portion. The handle supports the rotation sleeve for rotation relative to the handle. The handle supports the head assembly such that the first gear portion engages the second gear portion. With the head assembly supported by the handle, the head assembly engages the tool to support the tool such that the tool axis extends at a first angle relative to the handle axis and rotation of the rotation sleeve relative to the handle causes axial rotation of the tool about the tool axis.

    摘要: A torque wrench, including: a head region with a receiving opening; a bending-resistant shaft region adjoins the head region; a support formed on the shaft region; and an actuating lever including an elastically bendable portion and a handle. The receiving opening receives a screwing instrument and defines an axis of rotation. The actuating lever, in resting position, is spaced apart from the in the circumferential direction to the axis of rotation. If a screwing instrument is inserted into the opening, the actuating lever transmits a torque. The wrench has an indicator region, which the exerted torque can be read as a result of the deflection of the actuating lever. When a reference force is reached, the bending portion comes into contact with the support. When a force is applied, the bending portion can be in the tightening direction and the torque can be read in the region.

For example, an endodontic file may be connected to the mount with a friction fitting that allows rotation of the file with respect to the mount at high torque. This makes it possible to reliably manage the lubrication of a dental instrument.

The ultrasonic dental handpiece with rotary coupling generally includes a handpiece to which a piezo assembly and secondary coil are housed and a cable assembly including a primary coil and handpiece cable wherein the handpiece cable provides a supply of electrical energy and cooling lavage. The primary and secondary coils form a transformer wherein the secondary coil is inductively coupled to the primary coil with the secondary coil in electrical communication with the piezo assembly. A method of using a handpiece is also disclosed.

    摘要: Different mechanical drive devices for a medical, dental or surgical tool are described that are designed to put the tool into an oscillating, rotational motion, wherein the oscillating, rotational motion comprises an alternating rotation of the tool by a first angle of rotation in a first rotational direction and by a second angle of rotation in a second rotational direction substantially opposed to the first rotational direction, wherein the first and second angles of rotation may have different values, so that during multiple sequential rotations in the first and second rotational directions, the tool cumulatively experiences a rotational motion in a preferred direction.
