    摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus for identifying irregular flow, at the entrance of hydrant outlet. The apparatus comprised of: a ring shaped housing having interface for connecting on one end the hydrant pipe end and on the other end to the hydrant outlet part, at least two flow detection sensors positioned in said ring shaped housing, located at predefined distance for each other, a processor for analyzing in real-time sensors measurements, by checking time differences between the detectors received signals and differences between measurements level of the detectors, wherein based on said analysis is determined if the liquid flow is in outward direction form the hydrant or in ward direction from into the hydrant and for calculating flow quantity and communication module for sending alerts based on the analyzed data.

Also disclosed are fire hydrant with a lubricant channel and a method of lubricating a fire hydrant operation nut. Also disclosed is a fire hydrant that does not need a lubricant disposed between the operation nut and the fire hydrant body due to an operating nut sleeve being disposed between the operation nut and the fire hydrant body.

    摘要: An apparatus for covering or sealing Storz-type outlets is shown and described. The apparatus includes an outer cap portion having a continuous sidewall, a connector portion for connecting the outer cap portion to the water supply assembly and a sealing cap portion rotatably coupled to the outer cap portion and located at least partially within a void defined by the continuous sidewall, the sealing cap portion including a pliable sealing portion for forming a seal about the water supply outlet. The connector portion includes a pair of lugs and a pair of ramped lug guides associated with an inner surface of the continuous sidewall. The pair of ramped lug guides are provided for receiving a pair of lugs of the water supply assembly. A nut portion extends from an outer face of outer cap portion for engagement by a tool such as a wrench or socket for rotating the outer cap portion about the water supply outlet.

    摘要: Integrated flow control backflow preventer valve (“IFCBPV”) for new and existing wet- and dry-barrel fire hydrants, with barrel drain assemblies for dry-barrel hydrants, and hydrants equipped with such IFCBPVs, are presented. An exemplary IFCBPV can have a retaining screen comprising equidistant concave radial spokes intersecting at a central ring structure, a freely suspended check ball, and a lower ball seat with a seal. The upper surface of the retaining screen can be affixed to the hydrant's axial shaft, and can thus be used to open and close the hydrant via the ball. Alternatively, the retaining screen can be fixed and the axial shaft provided with a cup on its bottom that mates with the freely suspended ball that is caged between the retaining screen and the ball seat. An exemplary barrel drain assembly can comprise a spring-loaded piston, or alternatively, a check ball design as in the main barrel.

    摘要: A simple and inexpensive, but highly effective, single-walled fire-rated enclosure for a fire extinguisher cabinet which maintains the integrity of 1- and 2-hour fire-rated walls. The enclosure requires only five panels of fire-rated material which are firmly secured in place around the cabinet by a single pair of identically constructed metal mounting brackets which are oppositely secured to opposed walls of the fire extinguisher cabinet. Each bracket is generally planar, but has peripheral portions formed into a pair of oppositely facing channels offset from its outwardly facing surface, a flange extending from the bottom of each channel and away from the inwardly facing surface of the bracket, and a retaining element at one of its sides which also extends away from said inwardly facing surface. Each of the above elements is integrally formed with the more central portions of the bracket.
