    摘要: A pop-up toy assembly includes a head portion having a cap portion with an interior space, a base portion, a mesh tubing having a top end portion and a bottom end portion narrower than the top end portion, and a latching mechanism, wherein the top end portion is attached to an interior surface of the interior space of the head portion and the bottom end portion is attached to the base portion, the mesh tubing is configured to invert inwards when a compress force is applied to move the assembly from an uncompressed state to a compressed state, and the latching mechanism is configured to latch the head portion and the base portion in a compressed state and, upon impact with another object, the latching mechanism is configured to unlatch from the compressed state and spring back to the uncompressed state with enough force to propel the assembly away from the another object.

    摘要: A novelty popper toy and its associated method of operation. The popper toy has a head section that is supported on a braided sleeve body. When the popper toy is compressed, the braided sleeve body elastically deforms from an uncompressed state to a compressed state. While in the compressed state, the braided sleeve body stores energy. If the compression force is suddenly released, the braided sleeve body releases its stored energy and pops back into its uncompressed state. As the braided sleeve body returns to its uncompressed state, it rapidly expands, therein providing enough force to propel the entire popper toy into the air. The popper toy can be delayed in its expansion and/or prevented from flying into the air by the addition of a suction cup to the popper toy.

    摘要: An animated toy with an extendible tongue appendage that can be retracted back towards the opened mouth of the toy creature. In the first preferred embodiment an inner spring and outer spring are used, respectively, to propel the tongue away from the creature's body and to retract the extended tongue. In another second embodiment, the body of the creature is hollow, deformable and resilient with an internal air chamber. Air pressure in this chamber is used in place of the springs to extend and retract the hollow tongue. In a third embodiment, similar to the second embodiment in operation, pressurized air is supplied by an external bellows to extend the creature's tongue before it is retracted by an internal spring. At the end of the tongue in all embodiments, there is a hook and loop surface material area or a slow setting sticky material area which engages a similar surface material area on a small light weight spaced toy prey such that the tongue will stick to the prey and then move the prey towards the opened mouth of the creature.

    摘要: Projectile propelling attachments are provided for toy figures that have an arm connected at the shoulder end for pivotal movement relative to the torso through approximately ninety degrees. The attachments include an apparatus releasably mountable on the figure in engagement with the arm. A front end bore receives a projectile from which a tether extends out the back end of the apparatus through a smaller diameter bore. In the larger diameter bore there is a coil compression spring. At the free end of the tether a retainer prevents the tether passing back through the apparatus. In one form, the back end of the tether is attached to a reel carried on the back of the figure. Pulling on the tether pivots the arm to the firing position and then compresses the spring. When the tether is released, the spring propels the projectile.

    摘要: The invention disclosed herein provides toy objects such as action figures, robots, vehicles, creatures, etc., with apparatus for playing a shooting game controlled by one or more human players. Each toy object includes either a energy emitter, a energy sensor, or both. The toy objects are manipulatable by the players to face the emitters and the sensors in directions to hit other objects with radiated energy or avoid being hit with radiated energy from other objects. In the preferred embodiment, the emitter radiates infrared light and the sensor detects infrared light, and are operated from a backpack movably attached to an action figure. Control of radiating and detecting infrared light is similar to the control in a currently popular "laser" shooting games available from Toymax Inc. under the trademark "Laser Challenge".
