摘要: A chicken egg sorter of the present invention includes a measuring unit, an egg conveyor, a triggering unit, and an anomaly detector. The measuring unit measures the weight of each of chicken eggs placed one by one on the measuring unit. The egg conveyor conveys chicken eggs to and from the measuring unit. The triggering unit indicates a measurement timing at which the chicken egg weight is to be obtained from the measuring unit. The anomaly detector detects an anomaly of at least one of a mechanical part of the measuring unit and a mechanical part of the egg conveyor, based on information, collected from the measuring unit, about the chicken egg weight at timings other than the measurement timing.

摘要: A method for batching articles constituted by solid food products having a first property and a first quantity. The first property may be lean degree and the first quantity may be weight. The method provides a conveyor system and a batcher having a plurality of batcher heads such that articles within the batcher heads may be selected and batched according to a first target range of the first property and a first target interval of the first quantity. The method may ensure that different grades of the first property may not contaminate each other.

摘要: A statically weighed grading apparatus and method includes a static weight sensing apparatus weighing food parts prior to distribution to batches of food parts. The food parts are moved to batches to accumulate batches of parts having the same weight for each part, or batches of similar parts to achieve a desired total batch weight. Food parts are precisely deposited on a movement device to increase the density of food parts on the movement device maximizing throughput of the system. Several food parts can be transferred to the movement device to comprise a sub-batch prior to transfer to a final batch.

摘要: The present invention relates to a system (110) and a method for sorting a plurality (112) of seed grains (114). The system (110) comprises an individualizing device (120), a sampling device (132) for introducing the individualized seed grain (114) into a measuring device (136) for the classification of the individualized seed grain (114), a receiving device (146, 200) for receiving the classified seed grain (114) and also a transporting device (118, 124, 134, 144, 152) for the at least partially pneumatic transport of the seed grain (114).The invention also relates to the sampling device (132), which comprises an outer tube (160) for receiving the sampling device (132) into the measuring device (136), a sample chamber (138) of the measuring device (136) being provided within a volume (164) of the outer tube (160). The sampling device (132) also comprises an inner tube (162), which is inserted in the outer tube (160) and has a lower opening (166), whereby the individualized seed grain (114) can be introduced into the volume (164) of the outer tube (160). An intermediate space (170) formed between the outer tube (160) and the inner tube (162) is designed in such a way that the individualized seed grain (114) can be discharged by pneumatic means out of the outer tube (160) through the inner tube (162) into a receiving device (146, 200) for the classified seed grain (114).The system (110) is suitable as an automated high-throughput sorting of seed grains (114) by using the measuring device (136) that is designed for investigations of the seed grains (114) by means of a method of nuclear magnetic resonance (140) and/or an optical measuring method.

摘要: A mail sequencing system has, its top surface part, a tray storage. A non-standard-size mail supplied from a mail supplying unit is read by a bar code reader. The mail is stacked in a predetermined sorting bin based on the information. A tray onto which the mail is stacked is carried sequentially from the sorting bin to the tray storage and is supplied via a spiral chute to the mail supplying unit again to perform the second sorting. The destination of the mail can be automatically further sorted.

摘要: A weight selecting apparatus capable of automatically performing calibration, and providing a weight selecting apparatus capable of certainly carrying objects to be inspected with a relatively simple mechanism and performing weight measurement of the objects. The objects, after being subjected to weight measurement by a first weighing unit 2, are sampled by a sampler 5, and those of the objects thus sampled are subjected to weight measurement by a second weighing unit 6. A calibration unit compares, for the same object, the measured result with that obtained by the first weighing unit 2 and discriminates whether or not a difference therebetween is within a specific error range, to perform calibration of the first weighing unit 2. Further, as a carrier 3 for carrying the objects to the weighing unit 2 one by one uses an intermittently rotatable carrying roller 32 having in its outer peripheral surface portion a plurality of carrying pockets 321.

摘要: A batching of currently supplied articles with non-uniform weights into portions of a uniform target weight is effected by passing the articles through a weighing station (6, 8) to a distribution system (12), in which the articles (4) are selectively allocated to a plurality of receiver bins (14). It is known to improve the capacity of such a system by way of probability calculations based on the normal distribution of the articles in the supply flow, but it is better to base such calculations on a regularly updated recorded histogram (28) of the weight distribution of a relatively high number of newly weighed articles. Thereby the target calculations will rely on factual rather than just expected conditions, and a result is that it is possible to effect batching even when the article weights in the supply flow are not normally distributed.
