摘要: A system for controlling a culinary instrument includes a component data structure storing, for at least some culinary components, a culinary attribute. A menu data structure stores, for each of multiple items, a set of constituent components. An order interface module receives an item selection by a user and a set of adjustments to the selected item. Each element of the set describes an amount modification of a corresponding culinary component. An order feedback module uses a first set of rules to assess the set of adjustments based on the corresponding culinary attributes. In response to the assessment, the order feedback module selectively provides feedback to the user regarding limitations on the set of adjustments. A control transformation module uses a second set of rules to transform the adjusted selected item into a set of instrument control instructions for control of the culinary instrument, which autonomously performs the instructions.

摘要: A method and apparatus whereby livestock and poultry are administered feed additives in their feed ration. The apparatus stores additive concentrates separately until just prior to use, then on demand dispenses the additive concentrates into one or more weigh hoppers for weighing therein. The weighed contents of the weigh hoppers are discharged into a liquid carrier within a mixing vessel where the dispensed additives are diluted, suspended, and dispersed by mixing. The resulting carrier-and-additive slurry is pumped to a receiving station for mixing with a feed ration. The weighing components are isolated from movements that would affect additive weight determinations during the weighing process so that accurate measurements of additive weights are obtained. Dispensing and weighing of multiple additives within a single weigh hopper are sequential. Each additive may be weighed and discharged from the hopper individually or cumulatively with other additives. With multiple weigh hoppers, dispensing, weighing and discharge of additives from the different hoppers can occur simultaneously or independently. A programmable control can program the apparatuses for dispensing either entirely on a weight basis, partly on a weight basis and partly on a metering basis, on a weight-compensated metering basis, or entirely on a metering basis if the weighing means malfunctions.

摘要: An apparatus for automatically and accurately weighing powder materials comprising powder containers containing powder materials, respectively, to be weighed, powder cups for directly receiving powder material from the powder containers, respectively, and means for automatically feeding the powder material from one of the powder containers to one of the weighing cups through a feeder is disclosed. Each of the powder containers is integrally provided with the feeder so that one powder material fed into the weighing cup through the feeder is prevented from contaminating with other powder materials and therefore, the powder material can be accurately weighed. The powder container includes means for improving the accuracy of weighing.

摘要: A method for enabling automated waste management is described. In one embodiment, data related to an event detected via a sensor coupled to a trash receptacle is received. A waste collection vehicle is configured to collect trash directly from the trash receptacle. The data related to the detected event is processed. A notification is generated based on the processing of the data. In some cases, a notification based on a determination of a volume of trash within the trash receptacle is generated, where the volume is determined via a ranging sensor. A notification is generated based on a determination of a weight of the trash within the trash receptacle, where the weight is determined via a load sensor.
