The turret is configured to receive a stress induced plastically deformed container having earing about a respective opening in the container, and at least one of (i) direct the container to the first trimmer head so that the pilot becomes located inside the opening, and (ii) direct the first trimmer head to the container so that the pilot becomes located inside the opening. The turret is configured to trim off the earing from the container with the first trimmer head.

    摘要: A multi-step press system includes a press that consists of a press frame, a table provided on the press frame and a ram provided above the table for making movement in a Z-axis direction. The table has a standby station into which workpieces are loaded one by one and a plurality of press-forming stations in which the workpieces are sequentially press-formed. The system further includes a press die set consisting of a lower die attached to the table and an upper die attached to the ram. The lower die and the upper die are adapted to simultaneously press-form the workpieces placed in the press-forming stations. On one side of the press, there is provided a destacker for periodically loading the workpieces into the standby station. A transfer feeder is provided between the table and the ram for simultaneously picking up and transferring the workpieces.

The inventive method is characterized in that a penetrating process, a punching process, and a flattening process are carried out in the workstations (A, B, C, D).     摘要: A rotary transfer press comprising a bed; an upright extending upward from the bed; a crown mounted on the upright and providing a plurality of stations between the crown and the bed in an annular arrangement; a slide upwardly and downwardly movable by being guided by the upright; a feed bar having clamps corresponding in number to the number of the stations and provided around the upright for transferring workpieces from station to station in succession; a slide drive disposed in the crown for moving the slide upward and downward and comprising a main shaft coupled to a main electric motor to rotate at a reduced speed, eccentric rings coupled to the main shaft to rotate at a reduced speed and connecting rods connecting the eccentric rings to the slide; a feed bar lifting drive having a lift cam coupled to one of the eccentric rings and adapted to be actuated by the lift cam for moving the feed bar upward and downward; a feed bar feeding-drive having a feed cam coupled to one of the eccentric rings and adapted to be actuated by the feed cam; and a clamp drive having a clamp cam coupled to one of the eccentric rings and adapted to be actuated by the clamp cam for operating the clamps. Since the feeding movement and upward and downward movement of the feed bar and the operation of the clamps are mechanically related to the movement of the slide, press work can be conducted stably even at a high speed.
