    摘要: A multi-spindle unit for holding and rotating a plurality of rotary cutting tools has a unit body fixed to a first spindle of a machine tool, a rotatable shaft concentric with the unit body, and a plurality of secondary spindles each having a tool mounting portion at one end thereof. The rotatable shaft is coupled at one end portion to the unit body for receiving a torque from the holder body, the rotatable shaft being displaceable relative to the holder body. A rotation transmitting mechanism is provided to transmit a rotary motion of the rotatable shaft to the secondary spindles. A positioning member is fixedly disposed radially outwardly of the first spindle, and a cylindrical casing is disposed radially outwardly of the rotatable shaft such that the casing and the shaft are rotatable relative to each other. The casing is engageable with the positioning member for positioning thereof by the positioning member, and thereby positioning the secondary spindles.

    摘要: Disclosed is a guide member of a multiple spindle attachment employed in drilling and tapping machines, which guide member is adapted to guide a plurality of spindle holders that mount drills or taps, and comprises a guide member body fixed to a fitting flange of the multiple spindle attachment frame, a plurality of guide channels formed in the guide member body for guiding the spindle holders, and a disk-shaped positioning member for positioning each of the guided spindle holders. The guide member body is disposed such that its center is located on the central axis of the multiple spindle attachment frame when in the attached state, and each of the guide channels extend linearly outwardly in a radial direction about the center of the guide member body. The arrangement is such that the distances from the central axis of the multiple spindle attachment body to each of the drills or taps are set equally by abutting the inward end of each spindle holder against the outer peripheral surface of the positioning member which can be interchanged with another positioning member of a different diameter.

    摘要: A tool holder has a prime shaft which receives an external torque and is partly accommodated in and partly projects from a casing; a speed reduction unit having a coaxial three-layer structure consisting of a wave generator, a flexible spline and a circular spline being disposed in said casing, the wave generator being connected to the prime shaft in the casing, of the flexible spline and circular spline, one is secured to the casing while the other is an output section; a rotary holder secured to the output section; a tool holder mounting shaft supported by a top end of the rotary holder, the tool holder mounting shaft having a top end portion projecting from the casing; a crankshaft rotatably provided within the inner wall of the rotary holder; crank arms secured to both ends of the crankshaft, one of the crank arms being eccentrically coupled to the wave generator, the other the crank arms being eccentrically coupled to the rear end of the tool holder mounting shaft, with respective axes positioned eccentric to each other. The tool holder mounting shaft is swung with the rotation of the wave generator through the crank arms and crankshaft, and undergoes rotation through the rotary holder with the rotation of the output section of the speed reduction unit.
