Abstract:
A pocket hole jig for locating pocket holes in a workpiece includes a base with a base plate and first and second side walls extending along the base plate, and a body disposed between the first and second side walls and slidable along the base in a forward direction and a rearward direction. The body includes a drill bit aperture angled downward toward the base plate. The pocket hole jig also includes a fastener configured to releasably couple the pocket hole jig to an adjacent second pocket hole jig.
Abstract:
A pocket hole jig contains: a body, a holder, and a fitting sleeve. The body includes at least one accommodation orifice configured to house a driller, each accommodation orifice tilts downwardly and extends toward a bottom of the body, wherein the body also includes a first marking portion arranged on a first side surface thereof. The holder includes an operation room in which the body is fitted and moves relative to the holder, at least one through groove formed on a bottom of the holder so as to correspond to the at least one accommodation orifice, and a first scale section arranged on a first side surface thereof and aligning with the first marking portion. The fitting sleeve is fitted with the driller, and the holder further includes a depth scale section for measuring depths of holes drilled on wooden workpieces by the driller.
Abstract:
A cutter holder has a body, a collet fastening unit, a collet, a cutter, multiple concentricity adjusting units, and multiple straightness adjusting units. The collet fastening unit is assembled on the body. The collet is assembled on the collet fastening unit. The cutter is inserted into the collet. The body has a fastening flange which has multiple concentricity adjusting holes. The multiple concentricity adjusting units are respectively screwed in the multiple concentricity adjusting holes and abut against the collet fastening unit to correct the error of concentricity between the cutter and the body. The collet fastening unit has an assembling flange which has multiple straightness adjusting holes. The multiple straightness adjusting units are respectively screwed in the multiple straightness adjusting holes and abut against the body to correct the error of straightness between the body and the cutter.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for fine-machining a bore of a plurality of workpieces and a machine tool unit. According to said method, the workpieces are subjected to fine-hole drilling and precision finishing, preferably roller-burnishing or smoothing, a post-processing measurement is carried out and, depending on said measurement, the fine-hole drilling tool is adjusted.
Abstract:
A tool has a tool carrier having a tool cassette with a main body, into which an insert seat for receiving the exchangeable cutting insert is recessed and which has a guide, extending along a direction of adjustment, for an adjusting element for adjusting the position of the main body in the cassette seat in the direction of adjustment. The main body has a first mating surface and at least one second mating surface, wherein the first mating surface extends transversely to the direction of adjustment and the second mating surface extends in the direction of adjustment, and the mating surfaces are configured for the precisely fitting contact against a corresponding first and second contact surface of the cassette seat.
Abstract:
A method of machining includes mounting a part to a rotatable chuck of a lathe. A tool is then installed into the lathe. The tool is swung along an arcuate pathway to pass the tool through a smaller diameter area of the part to a larger diameter area of the part. The part is inserted into a cavity of the part. The part is then rotated and material is machine from the part.
Abstract:
A lathe tool that works in conjunction with a HUNTER lathe to engage a rotating an inner frictional surface of a flywheel on its axis to perform various symmetrical operations about an axis of rotation such as cutting and facing with a cutting tool. The components of the lathe tool position to one side of the flywheel to allow sufficient clearance for engaging a large flywheel across the full diameter of the flywheel, and also provide adjustment mechanisms for enhanced precision. A lathe mount extends perpendicularly from the Hunter lathe terminating at a lathe mount aperture. A tool mount passes through the lathe mount aperture terminating at a cutting tool notch, where the cutting tool attaches. A bracket passes through the tool mount and includes an adjustable screw that extends towards the Hunter lathe, rotating to draw the lathe tool to and from the flywheel.
Abstract:
An adjustable insert cutting angle cutting tool comprising a tool holder having a cartridge receiving pocket, an insert cartridge clamped the cartridge receiving pocket by a clamping member, and a cutting insert removably retained in the insert cartridge. The clamping member is operated by a separate fastening member. The cutting insert has at least one operative cutting portion, and the insert cartridge is oriented in a cartridge receiving pocket of the tool holder so that the operative cutting portion encounters a workpiece at an insert cutting angle. The clamping member has a clamping surface with at least one clamping zone, and the same at least one clamping zone makes contact with a non-planar clamped surface of the insert cartridge for different values of insert cutting angle. The insert cutting angle is increased or decreased by reorienting the insert cartridge in the tool holder, following release of the fastening member.
Abstract:
A tool drills holes into different sized wooden blocks so that the holes are precisely positioned while providing a means to position the tool to match an existing line or slot on the wooden block. The tool includes two identical pieces that, when assembled, adjusts to accommodate variable sized model car blocks, provides a view port to look through the tool for positioning, and contains perfectly aligned drill guide holes on either end and in the middle of the assembly to guide a drill bit that drills the required holes needed to accurately place axles and eyelets into the model car. The tool is adjustable to accommodate different sized blocks. The holes can be angled to create wheel camber when axles inserted.
