    摘要: An avocado cutting and pitting process has steps of: vertically approaching pairs of knives to the fruit-holding flights so that blades of each pair of knives are inserted in opposite sides of the avocado and in diametrical slots of fruit-holding flights recesses; horizontally moving the pairs of knives so that the blades approach each other around the same avocado pit; horizontally moving the pairs of knives so that the blades move away from each other with respect to the pit; lowering plungers for beating the pits; lifting the plungers with respect to the pits; and vertically removing the pairs of knives with respect to the avocados cut and pitted on the fruit-holding flights. A multi-lane machine for the process is also described.

    摘要: A tool for cutting uniformed, conical-shaped pieces of watermelon from a whole watermelon. The tool includes a base configured to be held in a fixed, tangent position on the outside surface of a watermelon. Formed inside the base is a center opening in which a rotating adapter is placed. Formed in the adapter is a semi-circular slot with an axis diagonally aligned with the axis of rotation of the adapter when placed in the base. The tool also includes a hand piece with a handle and a lower cutting member. The lower cutting members cross-sectional shape enables it to slide through the semi-circular slot and penetrate the watermelon. The lower cutting member includes two elongated cutting edges that cut the watermelon when the hand piece and adapter are rotated 360 degrees in the base. Also disclosed is a method for making conical-shaped pieces of watermelon from a large watermelon using the tool.

    摘要: This invention refers to an automatic machine for strawberry processing to de-calyx and remove the leaves and cut in pieces; it is used in the agro-alimentary industry, in processing industry and in canning industry; and it could be suitable also for processing of other products similar to strawberry. The machine is composed of a conveyor belt (1) at closed loop design, where one or more operators feed manually in vertical with the leaves and the calyx up in the holes (5) of each fruit-holder element (3) of the conveyor belt which moves continuously to bring the fruits, so placed, to the processing station composed of a frame where a header plate (14) reciprocates in horizontal and vertical, controlled and adjusted by sensors which lead the three processing operations done by the machine: strawberries alignment, de-calyxing and fruit ejection. In particular, the de-calyxing takes place through two cutting units (30) side by side composed of six rotating spindles (31) each one equipped with a rotating cutting head composed of two blades (32), optimized in their conformation and size, and wherein the opened tips penetrate to a adjusted depth, on the strawberry, around the calyx, and then close, during the penetration and the cutting, so to eliminate precisely the calyx with a minimum of straw berry fruit.
