Abstract: Provided is a method and a device for inflating and sealing an inflatable film, in which the quality of the seals of the air containers is to be improved compared to the prior art, it is proposed that use be made of the following features: a conveyor system for conveying the inflatable film, having a first pair of rollers and a second pair of rollers, between which the web can be arranged and which are on the conveyor section are arranged one behind the other; an inflation system to direct air/gas into the openings in the containers; a sealing device for sealing the openings of the inflated containers, and; a control unit to promote the film with constant traction and tension.

Abstract: A conversion assembly for a dunnage conversion machine includes both a downstream pair of rotatable members and an upstream pair of rotatable members upstream of the downstream rotatable members. The downstream rotatable members include a pair of gears, and each gear has a plurality of teeth and is rotatable about a respective axis. The gears are positioned so that the teeth of one gear are sequentially interlaced with the teeth of the other gear as the gears rotate. The upstream rotatable members include a pair of feed wheels, and the gears and the feed wheels define a path for a sheet stock material from between the upstream pair of feed wheels to between the downstream pair of gears. The rate at which the sheet stock material is advanced by the feed wheels is the same as the rate at which the sheet stock material is advanced by the gears.

Abstract: In order to solve the disadvantages of plastic straws in terms of environmental pollution, and the inconvenience of the above-described paste-adhered paper straws, provided is a paper straw comprising: an inner paper portion in which a single strip of paper without a heat-adhesive coating material on the inside surface thereof is spirally wound so as to form a single layer, and an outer paper portion which comprises at least one paper strip forming at least one layer around the outer peripheral surface of the inner paper portion while being wound in a spiral, and which is provided with the heat-adhesive coating material on the outside surface of the paper strip forming the outermost layer, wherein the paper strip of the outer paper portion has a wider width than the paper strip of the inner paper portion, the heat-adhesive coating material is provided between two paper strips of adjacent different layers, and the heat-adhesive coating material has adhesive strength or water resistance according to heating and curing.

Abstract: A dunnage conversion machine includes a forming assembly configured to form a sheet stock material into a strip of dunnage, and a feeding assembly downstream of the forming assembly that is configured to pull the sheet stock material through the forming assembly. The machine also includes a tear assist assembly downstream of the feeding assembly that includes a pinch arm on one side of the path and a stop opposing the pinch arm on an opposite side of the path. The pinch arm is movable between a resting position in which the pinch arm is located on the one side of the path, and a pinching position in which the pinch arm is located in the path to capture the strip of dunnage between the pinch arm and the stop. Reversing the feed assembly while the pinch arm is in the pinching position causes the strip of dunnage to tear.

Abstract: Disclosed are a honeycomb cell shock-protection paper pad structure, and a fabrication method and a fabrication apparatus, for overcoming springing back of a stretched honeycomb cell paper shock-protection pad. A shape-fixing apparatus includes a chassis portion, an edge scraper portion including flexible upper and lower scraper blades mounted obliquely on the chassis portion, and a shape-fixing roller portion including rigid shaping paired roller mounted on the chassis portion.
